The reason people also don't like too many melees is because this is meant to be a gun game, and melees are used mostly for killing laggers, taking down doors and flags.

This is why they don't let players choose prices. Remember, shock would get it for free, and in doing so, he would want it to be as OP'd as possible. For example, he said he wanted it to be just like a lightsaber, but cheaper, even though he'd get it free.

1) It's a suggestion. I never said I wanted it overpowered at all. Did you not ready the posts made by others on page one that made it weaker? I don't care about getting it for free.

2) Stop making assumptions and stop putting words in my mouth.

You're point? That's just common knowledge. I made a sword, I liked it and now I'm posting it. If it gets used, great. If not, great.

Anyway, I think we have too many melees as well. Not enough guns. However, I don't see how an EC Melee could harm the current situation.



Then what about a block rate of 70% then? And 8 damage? Sounds reasonable to me.

Or instead of reflecting bullets, they just block and disappear. Disappearing and not heading back at the shooter.

Here it's obvious I'm open to change. Don't say things that are untrue and assume I'm going to take it. You're just upset at the "possibility" of a free item coming to me. I don't care about it that much.

I like you're thinking, but 7 damage is still too low. 8 is low too, but it's a compromise.

So why is 7 and 8 damage too low?  

Wait, isn't the only distinguishable feature the handle, which, of course, would be covered by the hands of the players?

Isn't the regular katana 9 damage? It wouldn't make sense to decrease the damage, especially if you pay more EC for an item.

I didn't make it with that in mind, in particular. It's one of my first, so I wasn't sure about scale.

The hand guard, the brown handle and upper peice, and red cloth string.  

I don't like it.  

Well, you know, that would be the same as the katana's look since the gani will have the player holding your,somehow, edited / custom part.

Sorry it was late at night when I posted. I misunderstood. The handle would be hidden behind a hand and everything else would show.

It doesn't have to be, if you look at it from a real position. There's never a certainty that staff like GFX. I'm sure if they wanted, it could be a cheaper, watered down version.

Btw, it's based on the katana, but I assure you, it's completely original. I didn't use a template.
