Why is GST held ever 3 months instead of one now?
Why is the date never announced ahead of time?

I don't know why they do one at the start of every season. It was better once a month

Because it was too much work putting it together every month, and because it doesn't need to be.

UN holds many more events than iclassic. And too much work doesn't explain why they never announce the date properly.

It used to be the last Saturday of every month, then they changed it to seasonal/3 months, and they eventually lost track of when it should be held. There really isn't much organization at all now. It was changed to 3 months because the older method of registering teams took much longer, and there was both the Facebook and iPhone servers to be watched by staff, hosted, and carried out. "Too much work".

UN is different because the events are held by a staff team that has no particular job to do besides host events, while staff on Classic iPhone seem to treat it like jury duty.. Dates are never announced because nobody keeps track, and it is not written anywhere. It was never actually officially set in stone.

This is just wrong. People always seem to know when the GST is and I rarely say anything to anyone incase it DOES change. This is likely attributed to the fact that it doesn't actually change, but is hosted on a consistent date, which is always the first Saturday of the new season. I've even had the dates in the forum calendar for months now.

Unlike a PC server the tournament doesn't need to be announced several times a month. Registration opens up on the week that the tournament is, and I can't say it has ever been short of participants.

Perhaps an in-game calendar would help alleviate problems.. I mean, I would have never known to check the forum calendar lol. Maybe I'll post the idea in a suggestion thread if I get the chance..

I think an in-game calendar was going to be made a while ago, I should really check up on what came of that.

Everyone I know on iclassic thought GST was going to be held last saturday, then this saturday. No one knows.

Also, how does a 3 month tournament have any less entrants than a 1 month?
Only allowing the higher ranked teams in seems good though.

The forum calendar says GST is this saturday, but we can't register yet? Whaaaaat?

Last time i checked (rarely) GST was not on calendar. but ok i see it now. So why isnt registration open yet? its always been opened on the sunday before, correct?

was a complete joke, for something that is hosted once every 3 months you figure you guys would be able to get it right
several players (including myself) were "glitched" and warped out of the spar at 2 HP
the host (or at least the host of my matches, Chris) didn't even acknowledge it or provide any explanation at all

I considered that maybe there's some anti-lag script and maybe I had spiked for a quick second, but nope

GG all, last one I'll be wasting 3 hours on
