Creating life
My dream.. Project primordial. Huge specialized vats with apparatuses... Basically, recreating the very first century's of earth before the start of life.. The gasses of the atmosphere at that time, in the percentages of that atmosphere, as well as the concentrations and percentages of the other elements in early earth. The tanks pressurized to match the air pressure of the early atmosphere, same with temperature and Its distribution, basically, making in these vats something as close to earth before the first life... Including the water cycle, electricity, heat, different lesser known elements in early earth... Now a system to on time take a sample from the top and from the bottom of it every 2 weeks, then save them and study them for traces of Amino acids or early life. Who knows how long it would take.. It could create life.. Proof of how life formed.. A replica of early earth... Speed up and concentrated.. It's very expensive and would require a huge facility, but it would be worth it... I dream of creating life. |

Higbey, I thought you destroyed life. Cool dream though, I'd help out if it was real. CREATING LIFE.

You would be long dead before getting anything close to legitimate results.

The thing with Multiple tanks is you can edit conditions to perhaps "speed up" the processes. Plus, with technology.. You never know... Even if I die, as long as future generations keep it going... Also what you guys are talking about is reproduction. It's fertilization, it's not creating life, It's reproducing from already living cells. |

took billions of years for "life" to somehow form...would be hard to compress that into a few decades you'd also have to consider the theory that life could have been thrown onto earth from mars |

yes thats also the hard part, taking meteors, then storing them in a vacuum, then taking them back to earth, still in vaccum, then expose them to what it would be like to go through reentry in early earths atmosphere....then repeating that over and over until it works....

The problem is we know absolutely nothing of any of the circumstances. Hell, we don't even know why Earth has water, yet alone so much of it. We can hypothesize but there are so many multitude of combinations and circumstances of which may have sparked primitive life we could never emulate all of them.

When I was 4 I had a dream about a rubber ducky waterfall, I still think about that dream everyday.
