Gym
What would you think to a gym? Running for 15 minutes a week would give you a speed buff for one week Pumping iron for 10 minutes a week would increase your melee damage for a week Just been talking with Meph the weapons admin and he had the idea when we first released Era and he's still thinking it would be better. I wouldn't want people to run for more than 15 minutes or so though- it would get boring. |

If there is a script for iPhone players about "shake device", so I'd say make the gym linked to the shaking. Players would actually go crazy on shaking their device which will make them exercise irl and in game

Lol I'm being serious, is there a script which reads that the device got shaked? If not, make the lifting to click a button as fast as possible... Fat fingered kids... *pssst... welcome back to the forums* |

Lmao. I can just picture a fat kid shaking hell out his device. "I'm exercising, Mom!" Oh, also, what if you can only play Era on Facebook? I'm not gonna shake my laptop. |

Well, I doubt my laptop has a sensor in it where it detects if its being shaken or not. Secondly, I could drop it? *smash*

Honestly I think running for 15 minutes should give you a speed boost for 24 hours. A week of speed boost is a pretty long time.

Btw this would be awesome. How's about an aerobics exercise that drastically decreases melee freeze? That way by doing all the exercises you can be a melee beast! You would need to do it for 35 minutes for it to buff you for a week. And why not add stages of exercise? By lifting barbels you get a 2 point melee damage buff. Doing push-ups gives a larger boost of 5 more points. And finally, doing the bench press adds knockback equivalent to the crab daggers. Doing a jog around a track gives a speed multiplier of 1.5, doing a sprint around it gives a buff of 2x speed. And the treadmill gives a 1.25 speed buff. Using stages of exercise would require one thing- experience. You can't jog if you haven't used the treadmill enough, and you can't do bench press if you haven't done enough push-ups. |

Actually, I suggest we increase the default walk speed all together; the idea for a gym was a compromise. I strongly believe it adds depth to the gameplay, while simultaneously fixing alot of the problems people have with guns. By increasing walk speed, it opens up another dimension to dodging bullets, so focus would be more on a player's raw skill level than the gun they're using. Obviously a better gun would still have impact, but a skilled player with a weaker gun can still contend. I'll post a video later on to demonstrate what I'm talking about. |
