I can't be stupid for developing in a language I'm new at.

I believe both support socket.

They both can be triggered in different ways, C sharp is easier at this point.

Well yeah, even tho Python is a global language, it's not the best for creating games unless you like to code something from the scratch. I'd say C# / C++ is the best objective to use in these kind of situations, he'll even VB could make it easier :p
(P.S : all languages are familiar if you already know Gs2 since its rather a combination of C# and Java)

I'm giving up Python considering it's a very boring and ungraphical language. You also need certain libraries to preform certain tasks and it's harder to compile to exe. What language could I use to start to make games? A beginner language.

Python is an easy language. It's designed to be very visual and have super forgiving syntax rules. If for some reason you don't like it, give Lua a shot with Love2D. It has a similar, beginner-friendly paradigm but it's well prefered to Python with Pygame for lots of reasons.

I'm switching from Python because it's too easy. It's easy to remember because first of all, you don't need semicolons like PHP or C, and the functions are well written. I think it's too easy for me. I've done lua before in Computer Craft in minecraft, but I think I'll start using lua for making applications. Thanks

They are all worth trying, I made an Console RPG using C# (buy spells / potions / attack enemies with random attack and increase using pots and stuff) all that in my Terminal (yes, I use Linux @MonoDevelop)
If you'd really like going Minecraft game style, try java.
Else if you'd like something more like COD / Basic 3D games, go for C++.
If you're more into programming (web browser's, keygen's, engines) there is VB (which is probably the easiest but the most limited of them all)

It's really depending on your styling, let's say you chose VB, you'd have to replace

P.S : you alone can't get too far, you're always in need of a team. I might not be good at scripting, but I searched the web a couple months ago and took this decision.

Even if you might be better, you don't have to rage.

@Shawn if you're using windows, install XNA's Studio, it helps a lot for your first games, including several packages that can help you get in handy with tools.

Shawn, those things you mentioned have nothing to do with the language. They have to do with your choice in tools and API's.

John, please stop giving people advice. You have no idea what you're talking about. I have shown some of your posts to people in college with me and they all laughed at you. It's not a bad thing that you have no idea what you're talking about, but it is bad that you are trying to give advice to people when your head is stuck so far up your ass. Before you give people advice, you should really learn some more.
