God isn't real because the he isn't  

I don't think any god can be proven. Your faith in a religion is just that: faith. If you believe in him, he's real to you. He helps you deal with things. He's a holy shoulder to cry on. If you don't, he isn't. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't respect the people that do believe in him. Unfortunately, most people don't, and go around acting like the majority of people in this thread, shoving their lack of belief in everyone's faces. It's the same (in opposite) for a lot of people who do believe.

I personally don't believe in him. My mind tells me he just can't exist. But I wish I could. I really wish I could believe in god, or just any religion at all. I don't think I would feel so "lost" like I do all the time. But I don't. I've accepted that.

Well you spend about an eternity worshipping someone.  

I just found this in Bear Grylls' autobiography (I'm bored and I have run out of things to read, okay), and it sort of applies here:
"To me, my Christian faith is all about being held, comforted, forgiven, strengthened and loved -- yet somehow that message gets lost on most of us, and we tend only to remember the religious nutters or the God of endless school assemblies."

Also, again, I don't believe in any god.
