I'm not religious either lol... But I think you are talking about Islam. And Scientology is basically the departure of any common sense that you have.

I'm not religious either lol... But I think you are talking about Islam. And Scientology is basically the departure of any common sense that you have.

Well, the big bang theory suggests it occurred as the result of a matter-antimatter reaction. All the mass in the universe is the reminense of the chaotic event.

Although, this still does not answer the question of where the antimatter and matter originated.

When photons, what make up radiation, have enough energy, they can spontaneously decay into a particle and an antiparticle. This is easily observed today, as gamma rays do this. It turns out that the photon is just one of a class of particles, called the bosons, that decay in this manner. Many of the bosons around just after the big bang were so energetic that they could decay into much more massive particles such as protons, and antiprotons. (SOURCE) That's where matter and antimatter come from. We know that antimatter exists because we have replicated it recently. (SOURCE) We know that the big bang at its earliest point (Not when it was a singularity, when it was just starting to expand. Were talking billionths of seconds here.) was an extremely dense and hot point with energy in the form of radiation, there was no matter. (Energy density is what makes the universe expand. And radiation played a prime role in the initial expansion.) Now where did the energy come from? We could be inside an infinite chain of universes called a multiverse and our universe could be the other end of another universes' black hole. Of course, that is all pseudoscience with no visual evidence. But it's nonetheless an interesting theory. We need to understand how singularities actually work before we can really dig deep into the big bang. You can never get to the point of when it was a singularity, a singularity signals the breakdown of general relativity, that point in time does not exist. So its probably going to be a very long while before we can have some solid evidence of what these singularities actually are. The best we can do at this point is try to fit them into mathematical equations and simulate them in super computers.

I haven't read through this thread at all because me and Pimpsy already personally debated this stuff. I just wanted to recommend the documentary "Expelled" done by Ben Stein. I think it helps explain the invalidity of the theory while showing how people have been fired from their jobs for just mentioning Intelligent design not even officially believing it.  

Intelligent Design. Yes, I agree with that. You mean to tell me that the complex machines we create in the "big" world are not "designed" in the micro world for a particular task? If everything has a purpose, shape and complexity, it cannot be here by accident. We use tool to create things. Why wouldn't a divinity use and create things to further the development of life?

That shows how inconsiderate you are, some people don't believe and it is their choice, you should respect that and if you believe so strongly in god, instead of cussing, try to help the person believe as well, and do what this thread asked you to do, 'Disprove some scientific theories'.

I agree. I can't stand it when people are ignorant to coexistence. There are so many religions, how can any be right if they all claim superiority? That's why I claim no specificity.

This joke is sadly very accurate as to what most "Christians" like to say on the internet when they realize they haven't studied what they believe in. If they are a legitimate believer they wouldn't be saying crap like this in the first place!

Its a level of ignorance, yes... but faith isn't based on believer omniscience. Personally, I think religion is a mere shell of what's important. People need guidance and to believe in something. I think understanding a universe filled with purpose and divinity is more important than being absorbed in a book God may or may have not written second handedly.

Anyway, enough about our personal beliefs. I can sit here and tell you countless justifications for ignorance in the world until my jaw falls off. I'd rather not.
