Era could use a new take on guns and more emphasis on skill rather than wallets. Burst guns would be a great addition to the current system. I don't mean a gun that shoots 3 bullets right behind each other, but instead, a fast firing gun that allows movement in between each burst and doesn't restrict the player to shooting a full burst all at one time. If my point is still not clear, I am suggesting a gun much like the M1216 from Black Ops 2. It's a full auto gun, but after every four shots the gun stops and the player does something much similar to a short reload animation.
I'm not an expert at gs2, but I think coding it would be pretty simple, but burst guns would probably require their own class (easier if gs2 supports inheritance). For example:

The reload time would be longer than the burst freeze/sleep. I also intended that the sleep time would be different (preferably longer) than the freeze, so a player could move sooner to dodge but not be able to spam.
(if introduced, start with low damage per bullet, allow players to test it than increase from there)
