Few questions on creating your own iServer
I might be interested in creating my own server for the iPhone and I got some questions on how to do that. 1. What tools do you use to create content for an iServer? What do you use to test them? What scripting language do you use for it? Is it GS2? 2. How do you get approved to start a server? Do you get your own under construction server? Do you have to pay? Who can access it? 3. What does it take to get a server to become public? |

The first thing you need if you want a good Server are some really talented Admins. Yes, you have to pay and it depends on if you make the Server open to pulblic or not who has access. Whitelisted people and GlobalStaff (Stefan etc) do always have access. And it's all up to Stefan if the Server is going to be on the AppStore or not. First of all get to buy your Server, hire some great Developers and get your Server going. Then you can talk about going for the iPhone.

To get a server, first off you need to purchase Developer Gold found at the bottom of this page: http://www.graalonline.com/playerworlds/stores/upgrade Once done, as said above, you will need developers. Basic developer tools can be found when you open a new graal client. Start > Install Packages > and you'll see from there. |

Then, you can start building a staff team. Be sure NOT to give people a main folder like levels/heads, but their own folder, so you can review content and scripts. If you've made a successful playerworld, you can ask Stefan if he approves to make it for iOS. It's a small chance, though to get all these processes and get accepted to be an iOS server. Good luck. |

Pass your idea through Stefan before you start construction, else you'll probably fail and not make it anywhere near iOS.

Alright, thank you for the feedback. One more question I have: Do you happen to get paid or have any other benefits if your server somehow manages to be in the App Store?

It seems you don't have the answers to the simplest of questions, but that is alright. Here are the answers to all of your questions http://www.graalonline.com/playerwor...?page=Creation ![]() If you need anything else, send me a message on Graalians.
