...To the rest of the world it seems you Americans are very "stubborn". It seems like you don't change much unless you really have to and the whole country is for it. Like, in some polls for legalizing gay marriage in New Zealand, it was mostly yes, and I don't really care. It seems like if you did the same in America, it would be NO NO NO MY RELIGION THAT TEACHES ME OPENNESS, KINDNESS AND EQUALITY SAYS GAY PEOPLE CAN'T MARRY. **** THEIR HAPPINESS I DON'T LIKE IT!!!! (pointing out now I'm not American so don't take what I say too seriously, and pointing out that I don't know much about the topic anyway. what I'm saying here is my opinion without putting much research into it or whatever) how many states have abolished the death penalty? |

(I am doing this for an English argumentative essay, and one of the requirements was a step towards change) |

I don't think people from other states are allowed to vote for other state affairs. So I'm not sure this'll actually work.

Shawn you make a good point what if the accused is innocent? What if they aren't? |

It's better to keep a person in life in prison if you are not sure if they're innocent or not. 1 innocent death that happens in death row is equal to the federal prison releasing 100,000 convicts. I just made that up, btw. If they are not innocent, we don't know that for certain. Keeping them in life in prison is worth more. |

I think the death penalty isn't needed. Someone imprisoned for life in solitary confinement is a much more harsh penalty imo |

I believe in the death penalty because someone that commited multiple murders shouldn't be allowed to see the light of day ever again. They pose as a threat to others when they're in prison. Also, think about all of the lives that they ruin while this happens. It gives victim's families a better sense of self if they're dead. Inb4 omg, Chris you love death. |
