The reason zone faile isn't because of the staff or the dev team. It's because on release there was no market for it. When era released there was not a graal server that involved guns so it was able to take a large enough piece of the classic community who wanted a change to have a base to start on. When zone came around, everyone who wanted guns played era, and zone looks very similar to era from a new persona perspective. No one's going to quit their home server for the same thing.

Zone makes un-futuristic graphics. A baseball cap is not good in a futuristic, space game. The tiles are gross and unappealing. Make some space graphics like stars in the sky. The admins focus more on events than future updates.

Classic and Era are two completely different genres so there was room to push in. No such room for zone. The staff team hasn't helped either though tbh.

There is plenty of room to push in. All because iZone and iEra have guns doesn't mean anything. If people are comparing iEra and iZone together and choosing iEra because they have more things there is simply the development teams fault.

Zone is in the future, meaning: the possibilities of the outcome are endless! You are aware of what goes on in the past and present. But the future, is yours to create. It's best to avoid using carbon copies of what has already been done in the past with futuristic themes. For the future, everyone automatically thinks: space. Try to come up with some non space related concepts. Think: Before man can enter space, what problems can he fix on Earth? What improvements might've happened? What setbacks might have happened? Just because you're in the future doesn't mean everything is better. Hell, our future can end up looking like Chernobyl. One would assume that in the future, people would've learned that it it is impudent to simply approach someone and enter a gun battle. Nowadays today we know this. This is why we have predator drones, snipers and all sorts of artillery to prevent face to face battles. There needs to be more other statistical involved. Perhaps there can be a much larger focus on vehicles and armor and abilities rather than purely guns. A suit that lets you shoot fire from your hands and lets you generate a shield or something. Maybe a one man tank that allows you to shoot rapid fire explosive pellets or something. Or if you really wanna talk OP add flying hovercrafts or aerodynamic bicycles that allow you to move at quick speeds and shoot at long ranges. The pure use of things like lightsabers and laser pistols is overused. We've seen it time after time in movies and games everywhere before. |
