![]() I. Welcome Welcome to the unofficial GraalOnline Classic Bug Index! This guide is designed to chart the locations of every bug on Classic and make it as easy as possible for players to find any bug that they seek. This is very much a community effort; although I know quite a log about the different bugs on the server, I cannot possibly know everything there is to know! All information will be annotated with sources (usually links to posts in this thread or another). If you believe anything that is posted here to be false, post or message me why. Be sure to have legitimate evidence! I will make a reasonable effort to update all of the maps in this thread regularly. In return, please provide me with information with which to update them! II. How to Contribute Whether you're a novice, avid, or dangerously obsessed bug catcher, you are more than welcome to contribute to this thread! All you have to do is post what you know and this original post will be updated accordingly. Here are some specific things we are looking for:
III. Theories Various theories pertaining to the behavior of bugs are outlined here along with appropriate evidence. If you have any evidence that proves or disproves these theories, feel free to share!
IV. Bug-Related Items Currently, the only bug-related item is the net. It can be obtained by speaking to Adam located in Adam's Treehouse in MoD Town. There is some speculation that a fishing rod will be released sometime in the future and will use worms as bait [needs evidence]. V. Bug Catching Tips This section will be updated with various tips provided by players and staff. VI. The Big Bug List Complete Map Spoiler

When I first read that, I thought this is a bug/glitch index.

I need to redo all of these, so if you want to crowdsource that instead then by all means!

Butterflies spawn anywhere on the over world. Fireflies are in dark places only. Ladybugs like flowers. Mantises like bushes. Dragonflies like swampy areas. Worms spawn when you dig with a shovel. |

Pillbugs can enter and exit levels, I believe. Rufus mentoned they are one of the smartest AI because of that. So technically, pillbugs could be anywhere. But they spawned on railroad tracks.

Gonna try to list as much as I can about tips, rarity, and prices for catching certain bugs. Doing all except pillbug and agrias because I haven't caught one yet. Worms: Extremely common. Only dig down, left, and right. If you dig up, you can't see if there's a worm or not. After you dig, don't move unless you don't see a worm. If you see one, just spam your bug net on it and chances are that you'll get it. 1 gralat. Dragonflies: Very common. These move but not very often. Wait until the dragonfly has just moved, then go after it. Position yourself so you're within a bug net's reach of it, then catch it. 8 gralats. Grasshoppers: Pretty common. These move every few seconds, and it can be frustrating if it moves at the wrong time or in the wrong direction. The key is timing and prediction. Know when the grasshopper will move, and go after it accordingly. Only use the bug net right after it has moved, otherwise, you will be stuck for a few seconds. 20 gralats. Mantises: Common. They are found on bushes, and only fly from bush to bush on a missed hit or if someone throws its bush off. Use the bush to your advantage and line up with the mantis. Note that it will die if there are no nearby bushes to fly to. For this reason, don't throw all the bushes around it if you'll be placed at a weird angle. Instead, hit a bush near it so it will come to a better bush. 30 gralats. Fireflies: Common. These move constantly and change direction occasionally. They give you little time to set up to catch them. If you miss, they fly faster in the other direction and will probably go offmap. They tend to spawn on inaccessible areas, so you may be waiting awhile to catch them. I reccomend having experience catching other bugs before you try these. 30 gralats. Butterflies. Uncommon-Rare. Same strategy as fireflies. Prices for specific butterflies as follows. Ringlet: 30 gralats. Monarch/Large White/Swallowtail/Karner (Blue Morpho): 40 gralats. Emperor: 45 gralats. Clouded Yellow: 50 gralats. Green Hairstreak: 55 gralats. Tiger: 60 gralats. Peacock: 65 gralats. Ladybugs: Between common and uncommon. They're like mantises, except they're found anywhere, not just bushes. 50 gralats. Black ladybugs are the same except they're much rarer and are probably worth a lot more. Spiders: Between common and uncommon. These are found hanging from thread. Whack it with your bug net a lot. It will shake until it comes down from the thread. This is when you can catch it. It will slowly make its way back to the place it was originally threaded and become reattached. Don't let it do that or you will have to repeat the process again. 70 gralats. Every day, there is one bug the witch really needs. It changes everyday. When she really needs a bug, she will pay 1.5x for it. For example, the grasshopper's price goes from 20 gralats to 30 gralats. This applies to all bugs except the worm. |
