Graal Classic is Dying
There hasn't been any good updates in months, it's going to slowly die if something isn't done- the last good update was the North Graal City remake, all the holiday events have been poorly designed and are not fun at all. Pretty much the only people that play now are either: new players who actually haven't experienced it yet, so it is still fun No lifers/elitists who grind for super high stats like kills, spar wins, and tower hours. Those who log in just to talk to the friends they made on their(pretty much what I do) role players who don't need content, as they create it themselves. Graal Classic really needs a huge update or it's gonna die, if someone would have stepped up and actually made new content, I bet there would be at least 5000 players online right now. Only reason there is a ton of players atm is because the huge amount of new players that join via promotions such as freeappaday makes up for those that stopped playing. I can understand that since content on Graal is mode Voluntarily, there isn't much done since many of those working on the content have lives. The problem is there isn't much interaction with the community involving development outside graphics, so don't say "then why don't you make it then", I happily would if I could but unfortunately I cannot. Basically what I'm asking is that the community should be allowed to contribute to development efforts outside graphics, rather than just being ignored, wasting their time. There's plenty of opportunities to make the game better, but they are being avoided. Graal needs more content, there's no excuse for the lack of updates. |

What kind of 'big update' are we talking about here? I mean, the MoD revamp was pretty huge, along with the new quest, but the commotion died out in less than a month. There are many possibilities, I agree, but it's hard to find one that can actually fit in with the current flow of the game. |

The quest was awesome and made me think, I enjoyed it for the few hours it took me to complete. |

There's a giant Easter update but you complained about that because it's more content than you have time for. You complain when there isn't content, and then you complain when there is content.
It's not dying. Let the thousands of players online eagerly searching for eggs (and enjoying the new content) be my proof.
There have been updates. The tileset and new levels (which I like to call the "Classic" update) were very, very neat. They promoted lots of exploration and I still find random tidbits in places that I can appreciate. The server is much more appealing and does, honestly, make it much more fun to be online. The Easter Egg hunt, while not perfect, has been very, very fun and provided quite a lot to do this week (and lots of reason to be online). But even though you're wrong, to say that "there's no excuse for the lack of updates" is just rude and somewhat disrespectful to the people who are volunteering to make this game better for players like you. They seem to do a lot considering they have every excuse and reason in the world to just sit back and do nothing. - I'm sorry, you'll have to remind me... what's the point of this thread? |

The easter event lasts a week, then it will be forgotten afterwords. It wasn't even that great anyways, it's just a giant luck based event where you grind the same things over and over for hours on end(shoveling baddy killing grass cutting etc) until you finally get your mount. Not fun at all. Certain eggs were a lot rarer than others so certain eggs where in high demand, so the trading hardly worked out. |

And "asking" general players to make levels, graphics, ...scripts... Not only is that just plain not going to work, but people like you would make another thread, much like this one, accusing the staff team of trying to get players to do their work for them. It's honestly a lose / lose situation.
There's no denying that, while it could be improved in some areas, it's still quite fun (in my opinion) and loads better than Easter in the past. This time everybody's guaranteed an opportunity to win. In the past it's truly been the first ten no-lifers to find x eggs get trophies, etc. It has improved, but you have no appreciation for the improvement that exists (and the staff that brought about that improvement). That's what really bothers me. |

"Graal Classic is *Dying" well right after MoD town, it was time to get started on halloween... then christmas.... then the new tileset... now easter. nope. no time to make any updates that you would call "huge." (The holidays kept me entertained enough though.) If you havent noticed, Classic's Dev team consists of (idk exact number) less than half a dozen (unpaid) members. Yet people expect huge things to happen periodically AND still have good holiday events.. cant have both. Just wait until summer and hopefully our Devs will have more time to work on the "huge" things. |

So lets see our options: 1. Play Graal classic 2. Don't play Graal Classic No one is forcing you to do anything. |

It's not dying yet http://statistics.graal.us/server/show/1216 As you can see Graal classic has gotten a high player count because of the Easter Event. You're saying that this event was poorly designed, so tell me how is it poorly designed. Have you even tried egg hunting, obviously you haven't if you just log in to talk to your friend. The only thing that is poorly designed is your brain. I feel like you're just making threads for no reason but to get attention. |

Perhaps, ideally a good developer should try break the grind. No that doesn't mean having less eggs to collect, but perhaps doing something more elaborate than just mashing hotkey buttons in hopes of finding an egg. So yer, lay off him a bit, maybe? |
