Hey. I took a LONG break from Era, and just recently returned. Well, i got back on for Christmas for quests and items, but that's all I did. Now I am back, and I was wondering what things I should save up for. I got M4 when it came out from crab genocide, and I have the Ice Sword with knockback I like using. I used to use brass knuckles. I was wondering if these are good items to use for PKing and/or basing. I got my first 50 streak the other day in Southridge, but that was just slashing at unsuspecting people and shooting blindly with my gun. Also, I noticed that there was a sort of riot shield you could buy in the police station. Should I buy it?

That gun with the riot shield is the KSG Shotgun. It used to be BAR's rival by "measurement of cheapness (overpowered rating)". The shield was what made it cheap before which allowed the player to have a 85% chance of taking no damage at all.

KSG got ultimately nerfed, now only lowering the damage taken slightly when the shield is taken out. For a shotgun though, KSG probably has the lowest freeze rate of all shotguns in it's category. That is only if you shoot without holding the shield. It is strongly recommended you do not shoot while holding with the shield. Unless you are finishing off an enemy by rushing towards him with your gun and shield and shooting him. You become like a slow moving turtle once you start shooting with the shield.

Effects when shooting with shield
-increased freeze rate
-movement speed is slowed for a second after shooting
-fire rate is halved of the original fire rate (shoots much slower)

Shield blocking effects
-lowers damage taken a bit. A 10 damage bullet is lowered to about 7 damage

KSG does 4 damage per bullet when upgraded. This adds up to a maximum of 8 damage. (KSG shoots 2 bullets) KSG has a considerably high fire rate. Bullet spawns on the character's right side as opposed to the standard left side.

Is the KSG good for it's price? Not really. Most of the money spent for the KSG is because of the shield. While the shield is very unique to the gun, it's an expensive price to pay for the shield. This doesn't mean though the shield is useless. The shield can be used to rush through bullet lines and take less damage. Are you going through a pk crowd? (eg. going to the event house) KSG shield should help you get through.

KSG doesn't mean it's a terrible gun, but the price is what makes it less popular. As Sten, Ab8, and M4 overshadows it.

No, dont waste time with ksg, just save the extra 10k and get tomphson. It destroys

No, the shield can only be used with the KSG.

Should I save up for the M4 attachment?  

No. The freeze is supposedly unbearable. Even if your firing one shot, it reduces your mobility.  

Hmm. Well, the Candy Bazooka can't be that bad. Kills lots of people in groups, would help in bases alot.

Hmmm, not an ideal "PK Weapon". Your M4 is good enough for just PK-ing  

Eh...I'll still save up for a bazooka for sh*ts and giggles.
But what else should I save up for? Dx
