Cops shoot a dog to death - 5

Saw this yesterday but i didnt want to be the 3rd post here...

Anyway. Disclaimer: No, the cop didnt need to shoot the dog, it could have been handled better.

That being said. WHY ARE PEOPLE FREAKING OUT OVER THIS? Ive never seen such hullabaloo for a PERSON being shot by a cop. Animals dont have the same rights as humans. Animals are killed everyday. A pig and a chicken died to make me my pork&chicken&bacon sandwich at Rib Crib tonight. Whats the difference when a dog is killed? Yes, this situation couldve been handled better, but my God, leave it to America to overblow a stupid news story. Call me a terrorist idc.

You know at the end when it's moving around it's actually dead? It would of died instantly it having a spasm is just the muscles reacting to death.

That right there is the reason the officer shot the dog.

While it is terrible and not right, the dog lunged at the officers. If a civilian killed a dog that was attempting to attack it that would be self defense. The same goes for the officer. While there may have been other ways to deal with it better, you have to realize dogs can be vicious and by shooting it it could have stopped more trouble from happening.

It's such a problem because the officer shot the dog right in front of the owner. You've gotta keep in mind it isn't a farm animal raised to be slaughtered, it's someones pet.

if he had to shoot it shoot it in the head or somewhere that will instantly kill it because i dont think he had to shoot it but cuz he did he sould have finished it rather than letting it suffer.
killing it was bad but slowly is worse its like the cop is a sick f*** watching it die and not doin anthin

hes the stupid sob that's at fault in the whole situation.

another thing I want to point out about people saying he could of handled it better. Yes that could be said in any negative action but the cop looks young and experience doesn't get acquired over night he had a couple seconds to make a decision.
