wait a minute tashkin so what you are saying is that we will only get hours if we are being attacked? that makes no sense whats so ever a battle itself to the max takes mostly 30minutes to 45minutes. so would that means that once we are attacked we dont take the bases and just stay in a planet all day wow

Right now, you gain no hours from Showdown, even if you are actively playing and defending showdown. Showdown time should continue to be however long you hold it and are actively defending it, because it is constantly under attack (a new game starts after an old one ends). If for some reason nobody is playing showdown, then just clear the winner. Showdown is an important planet for smaller squads because it allows you to begin collecting hours without needing to have tons of active members, I hope it gets its planet status back...

I understand that a major change (such as having planets be permanently in battle mode) would have been tricky, but there are other simple changes to accomplish what this does without breaking the system. One idea for a temporary fix: make it so that once your squad takes a planet, it holds it for up to 15 minutes, at which point the planet reverts to being owned by nobody and your squad has to "attack" it again. The timer doesn't run while you're defending, and it resets every time you sucessfully fight off an attacking squad. This will mean that a squad can't hold onto a planet unless it actually has members online collecting PvP items and maintaining ownership. With this, the hours could be reverted back to how they used to work, and the dominant squads would have to work harder to gain hours (without it being impossible...) |

Tbh, I don't really want it to be Era/Classic style since it will require us to recreate the planets. It'll be best to create a new system that can still use the original planets without having make new ones. A simple idea that would just need a new script will be along the lines of this. Spoiler
But because you guys are lazy to read this or overwhelm by the Text here is the TL;DR: Essentially make a system where after each battle there is a 30 second intermissions and than the planets starts up again. Within the 30 seconds a squad can place a PVP Token to make the attacker their squad. If no squad become the attack it become "Graalians" which anyone can just join to attack. But than you say if anyone can join wouldn't it be too hard for the defender? Well the second part will tell a solution: Have a system where instead of tapping to join, there is a space ship on each side of the lobby, one for attacker and on for defender. Players enter the spaceship to join one at a time. If one team has 1 or more players, it unables the player to join the greater team to make the teams more even and balance. |
