If I can remember right, iZone v1 was released back in August of '08. For some reason, it was removed from the app store a few days after release.

I don't know the exact details, but since iZone has changed so much since the first failure, my guess would have to be the change in direction. Scrap what was current and start over and now what you see is the rotten fruit of the decision.

And "most people hate those graphics" are either iPohne players or never tried to play with those bodies. And I believe you don't know any PC-Player who dislikes them, or atleast you couldn't name me ten.

"Are either iPhone players or never tried to play with these bodies." You basically just stated why they shouldn't be on iZone an iPhone game. Lol I don't play Graal PC. But Albus doesn't like em and I KNOW a lot of others didn't.

It was controlled with the use of the iphones accelerometer. That's was something people didn't like. It was $5 and overall sucked.  

I never really liked that style of characters  

I recall seeing Dylan (bboy) and Alpho in-game about a month ago, wearing Zone PC-style bodies and heads.

However, Stefan probably won't have them added, as changing the bodies/heads now would lead to chaos and complaining.

Ya, they had morphs on for that.

I googled Graal Zone iphone/ipod a time back and the reviews are terrible. I remember reading the price was something like $5 and I was a bit confused.  

I found a thread on the touch arcade forums in 2008. Bomber himself made a post about what happened.

In July it got rejected by Apple, so we decided to focus on some other projects (Adrenaline Pool, Ace Tennis etc.). But then it suddenly got approved, and some of us (including me) were in holidays and the servers were of course not ready. We didn't had any other choice than to withdraw the game. We have however updated the online servers a few days later so that the maps were playable.
We still plan to re-release Graal Zone on iPhone, cannot guarantee yet when that will happen (should be a few weeks or months). The client is much faster now and we got more experience with the network stack on the iPhone. It's still some work to setup and maintain a MMO though.

Zones guns are looking way better with these bodies than the actual ones, waaaay better.

Zone whitout them old pc bodies...isn't zone.

The reason the first time iZone was released, failed was because of heavy lag/it wasn't ready/capable of being an iOs app yet (wasn't stable) correct me if wrong.  

iZone without Zones tileset but Shangri-La's is meh, too.
