Bring back Events
Plain and simple, events have been basically ruined on Classic. - Admins can only host 1 event per session. Ex: Neo hosts Chance, and once it's over he's done hosting. -Admins hardly host anymore, and when they do ^^^. Why is this? Why would you narrow event activity when there's basically nothing to do on Classic but afk and socialize. Events are (for the most part) very entertaining and enjoyable, but they are hardly hosted now, and with only 1 event hosted whenever they decide to host. I think bringing back more event activity should be highly considered. As of right now, events are butchered. You should also consider making a donation option, I don't really see why this isn't an option already. Someone wins with the hat hosted but already has it, no one gets anything. |

1. Rufus decided to nerf event's to keep hats rarer. I don't get that, but whatever. I would like to see more events, but atleast I don't have to watch event guilds dominate every event except chance any more. It also cuts down on event guilds idling in graal city waiting for events to start. I know there are a few admins who don't run events but as they hire more hopefully those admins will run events as long as admins run events regularly I don't think the current set up is that bad. 2.What do you mean by donate? If you mean when a player wins the event and they all ready have a hat they can give the 2nd one to a person of their choice? Then no they shouldn't that's just plain stupid and besides that's what 1k hats are for. 2-a.I went on a diatribe(rant) on another hat chasing thread about this. In every single admin event broadcast message it clearly states if you have this hat you cannot win it. Yet everybody and their grandma go bat **** cray cray when an admin does an event and run for the warper reguardless. IMO before the event starts the admin should give ppl notice that if they have the hat they have on,and they win that hat will be removed from their inventory. Imo the ones doing this should be penalized and there for discouraged from doing this. If you give them time before the event starts to see the hat then they will know they have it and have no excuse. |

@2-a No, all players should be able to play events whether they have the hat or event, and certainly should not be penalised for it. If i'm bored one day and a member of staff broadcasts they are hosting chance or whatever for a hat that I already have, I'm still going to try and play it just because i'm bored. |

It may be true that there have been fewer events throughout the day lately, but event frequency is not something that is regulated. Staff don't have a quota, nor are they limited to a specific number of events for a given amount of time. Personally, I try to host one event every day, but it all comes down to how much free time a staff member has and how well the server is under-control. Classic has had a significant playercount boost lately, and that means a lot more reports and general shenanigans. If there aren't very many staff members online, doing an event can increase the amount of player-related issues on the server; one event can put the staff member out of commission for a decent amount of time, having to sift through several hundred PMs, answering questions and looking for anything important. In summary, events have been more difficult to host recently unless several GPs are online. Yesterday we had quite a few. Maybe some of you saw the "Mega Event"?

The mega event was a really cool concept. I liked being able to choose between different events to participate in & I really hope it happens again because I'm not really a fan of the single-event rule.

Johnny can donate to anybody he wants. Johnny donates his hat win to Bertha. If Johnny didn't want to donate, no one would get anything. |

I don't think its right for ppl who have the hat all ready to not give a **** and compete anyways and ruin the event for everybody else. I think instead there could be some sort of event center that runs regulated events every so often that yield gralats instead of hats modeled after zone. |

Your posts are making no sense to me. Answer this, why is donating a hat bad? If you say "giving hats to friends is BAD, not sharing, etc. Dont bother." |
