First of all the major difference btw these two devices are their os, the htc has Android(&Sense+ overlay=htc's lil' touch to their own devices) while the lumia has windows 8 running it (Easy to use, stable) I'd get the one just because it has android, WP8 is easy to use and stable but like ios a little limited in terms of possibilities such as downloading anything you want from the net...The windows 8 store doesnt have alotta apps right now. (Android has almost as much as apple) I won't go into details, I'll just tell you what's better in what category: Display: Htc one Battery: Both Hardware: Htc one has a quad core processor,2gb ram vs the lumia's dual core, 1gb ram.(The more, the better) Camera: Both are good, but the htc one has those new Ultrapixels, taking pictures in low light areas still gives you good performance Front camera:Htc one If you dont care much about games and just need the basic stuff (facebook, twitter and angry birds) and want something easy to use get the lumia. If you want a free, amazing customisable experience get the htc -I've owned many htc's, they're amazing, especially their screen display and camera. Coming from a previous owner, I'd go for anything that DOESN'T have Windows OS. If you want a barebones smartphone experience then yeah Windows is the way to go. Otherwise it is highly uncustomizable, lacking a ton of apps (it doesnt even have instagram or pandora yet) and its overall just a boring OS. I'd support Android, but on high end devices only. |

Like Rexx said, any high end phones using Android are...the best, the system itself makes any phone be good. And since price doesn't seem to be a problem for you (The Htc One is like the latest phone out there) I'd recommend you the following phones: *All using Android Os* -Htc one (Like above) -Galaxy S4 (Soon mine!!! #Samsung>All#) -Sony Xperia Z (this one's amazing) |

Its a pretty expensive phone, 700-730 off contract, 299 on contract. I got the Note 2. Amazing phone. Big screen, big battery, cool stuff like multi window and pop up player. I dont feel like I'm walking around with an outdated phone either. And if you get the Note 3 prepare yourself for people commenting on how big your phone is every time you pull it out. People notice my phone or ask me about it on a near daily basis. Its gets annoying tbh. |

I had the same problem with my note 2 lmfaoo.... iPhone users be like "wtf your phone screen is TOOOO BIGG" Like everyday lmao... Didn't recommend you the note 3 at first, because Idk if you were into those really big screens lol, but definitely on the top of the best smartphone list. Samsung's galaxy/note series are really the best out there, the only ones currently really innovating. Phones I've owned Some LG-Htc sensation XlBeats-Galaxy note 2(Was really a nice experience, I gave it to my sis nao)-Galaxy S3 (IMO the #1>all) |

Yeah, the Nexus5 is gonna crash the whole market, if its 300$-350 max. The nexus devices are unbeatable in price/hardware/anything. Nexus 4(old model) >All iPhones& Old 2 year gen phones (S2 etc...) My problem with the nexus's (phones) is that you can only buy them on the play store right? Isn't avaiable in my country yet :,( lmfao.. Off topic: Spoiler
