It could be worse, we could be building entire cities and having no one moving into them (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE)

I think the whole idea of political parties was horrible from the start, and the founding father's even realized this. Canadates and congress don't work to serve the people, but to appease their party. The democrats are trying to impress their party, and the republicans are trying to impress their party. What you get is people taking sides and not really working for a common benefit. God bless the moderates who can really see things from both perspectives and try to find things that will benefit as many as possible, but it's the radicals (not just the Republicans) who slow down progress. They're so caught up in this strong opposition towards the other party that they forget it's the people they're supposed to be working for, not their party. After watching Obama's speech over the shut down I really didn't like how he took the opportunity to glamorize the democratic party. It just seemed like he went on and on about how this was all the republicans fault, and how democrats are the good guys here when there is plenty of controversial issues the democrats created. Instead of showing how one party is better than another because of the actions of another, we should be showing just how bad political parties have become over the years and why they aren't good at all for the government at all. The senators and representatives shouldn't be tied to a specific party, but tied to their state's interests and the general interest for the nation's needs as a whole. This is the way it was intended to be, and this is the way it should be. |

I'd like to counter with it's not the republicans faults. If you haven't been brainwashed by the media, you'd know Obama being reelected was the worst possible thing for us. His first term not only doubled our debt, he never got a single budget passed. Try blaming the republicans for not passing his budget? Democrats also would vote against him unanimously. I'd like to keep talking about how Obama is terrible, but the list is endless. You just need to find an unbiased source on politics.

Great, let's have one party/group leading America and see where that gets you. Look, the reason why there are two groups in parliament is obvious, one side proposes the ideas and looks at the benefits. The other group examine the ideas and look at the negatives. AKA they both think they are the geniuses and the conflicting party is idiotic. |
