Flamethrower? Psshhhh

I saw the thread on the flamethrower Idea and decided to enlighten you people on a better Idea for a weapon, as you pretty much have one already and apparently need a new weapon, plus flamethrowers are kinda lame. So here is my idea for a new weapon:

A fire sword. Melees are utter worthless in Zone really. Only good for taking Power Generator health away.

So they are not worthless if they are good for taking power generators down. However guns are useless they are only good for killing people

Plus it can do lasting damage on one hit, as one hit would likely cause fire damage if the staff implement it correctly.

I agree with this. There could be a bunch of cool futuristic melees too, not just this one.

In the future people will be able to craft their own guns from scrap metal. So how is that different from Zone?
