Burnt out
The current towering experience Idk if its just me or if other players go through this but after going hardcore and towering/being on for about 18 hours aday for 3-4 months straight to help push my former guild to 1k has left me burnt out on towering and not very motivated to tower. When I'm on and towering its basically because I don't have much else to do in graal, and I want to socialize. I just cant push myself to get into towering that much these days. I feel like there is no point in pushing and towering like crazy when a lot of ppl join late (750 and up hrs) and still get the same reward as me or do a lot less work than I do and still get the hat. So why be on twice as long and do twice as much as 97% of the ppl in your guild when you all get the same thing? There's also the issue of stuff popping up when your towering. events, limited time shop items, ect. you have all but maybe 1-2 ppl in your guild running off to do those things and the other 2 ppl are bitching to tower. What does it matter how long or when you hit 1k as long as you get there? Trust me it doesn't I should know I was in UFO it took us like 3 years. |

I really like this story and try to stick by it, you should to: A landowner went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. And after agreeing with the workers for the standard wage, he sent them into his vineyard. When it was about nine o' clock in the morning, he went out again and saw others standing around in the market place without work. And he said to them, "You go into the vineyard too and I will give you whatever is right", So they went. When he went out again about noon and three o clock that afternoon, he did the same thing. And about five O clock that afternoon he went out and found others standing around, and he said to them, "Why are you standing here all day without work?" They said to him, "Because no one has hired us." He said to them, "You go and work in the vineyard too." When it was evening, the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, "Call the workers and give the pay starting with the last hired until the first". When those hired about five o' clock came, each received a full day's pay. And when those hired first came, they though they would receive more. But each one also received the standard wage. When they received it, they began to complain against the landowner, saying, "These last fellows worked one hour, and you have made them equal to us who bore the hardship and burning heat of the day". And the landowner replied to one of them, "Friend, I am not treating you unfairly. Didn't you agree with me to work for the standard wage? Take what is yours and go. I want to give this last man the same as I gave to you. Am I not permitted to do what I want with what belongs to me? Or are you envious because I am generous? So the last will be first, and the first will be last.

@era news That's a parable from the bible if I'm not mistaken. OT: It depends on what u want to do with your time really. If the reason you are towering is to get a rare hat then I understand that it doesn't make much sense to go all out. But if you like to take towers because ten are fun to take, hold and defend. Then it really doesn't matter who get what. Maybe you should joins more relaxed or less active guild so you aren't forced to be constantly at a tower and unable to participate in events. In the end, it's hard to have the best of both worlds. You either get the towering experience or the farming/grinding for gralats to buy hats and such. |

Sure is, I just took out the god bits as I am not really a practicing catholic anymore, but I heard this story way back in primary school and really think it's a great story.

One of the issues I found you always seem to run into is that when something new is released or added to the game you have 96% of the guild trying to go check out the new thing or farm, catch bugs, what ever to get more gralats to buy the new thing. Then there is 1-3 ppl usually the higher leads in the guild yelling and threatening people to get them to tower when nobody really wants to as they would rather be checking out the newest thing in the game. I have been on both sides of this. Generally I would rather just put towering aside and go check out the new thing. However I do realize that when something new is introduced or a limited time thing is happening they are prime times to get towers as most people are off doing what ever is going on at that particular time. I have come to realize that the towers will always be there and you can tower any time. So why do people always want to rush and tower tower tower to get to 1k just to start over again? I even see well known guilds like Vintage take breaks when new stuff pops up I wish others would learn from this and realize it doesn't matter when you finish. So why rush? Take your time and stop once in awhile when new stuff pops up. Just hang out with your friends and the new people you have met along the way and enjoy spending some time doing something else for a day or two as a group. |

yes unfortunately, I was working in a position doing a graveyard shift that pretty much allowed for me to be playing classic all the way through my shift. When I wasn't spamming the forums that is. Then I had to stay up for half the day. so I was basically playing from 9 pm at night till 4-5 pm the next day. I'm not saying I was playing for 18 hrs straight through. I do have to eat and poop.
