There is plenty other guilds out there you can join or just go buy and start up your own guild from scratch. BTW no offense, but If your asking to buy or have some one give you their guild that all ready has tower hours accumulated then your making it look like your a hat chaser

Btw, this guild already has 1k, so I don't see how anybody can even call him a hat chaser. |

I fail to see how being a guild lead and being in the same guild for 600+ hours getting it to 1k and actually earning the hat makes you a hat chaser? Joining a guild after 700-750 hours makes you a hat chaser IMO. |

I was towering yesterday and I ran into my old guild leader from UFO who is now with a new guild as am I. He was with a different guild than what he normally was so I asked him what happened and he pmd back that the leader of the guild had quitted classic. That got me to thinking about this thread. I was thinking they could put guilds that go defunct up for sell. Let me be more specific not guilds that have stopped post 1k. IMO those guilds should only be sold if the owners choose to do so. But any guild whose leader has been offline for more than say a month and has less than 1k hours. It could be available for purchase. Maybe as an auction,or maybe at least other leads would be able to contact admins about transfering ownership to them. I mean it kinda sucks if you put in a bunch of work and the leader decides to quit for what ever reason without telling anybody then your severally handicapped in the fact that you cant give powers to others or if somebody decides to kick everybody then your really screwed. |

So your saying because they quit and haven't played at all in 2-3 months we should just let the guild sit there until the admins clean out the inactive guilds again? I realize to that there are times when guild leads go inactive but not by choice. Either because of personal issues or maybe because they got banned But I think they still get the opportunity to transfer leadership either way they have plenty of time to do something with the guild if they choose. If you think about it unless there is a guild with a good amount of dedicated and loyal leads if and when the guild leader or owner goes away the guild will usually die and everybody will leave the guild anyways. I never stated I wanted to buy or take anybodies guild there for I'm not trying to "do this to benefit myself" in anyway. I own my own guild and have several tags in others, But I know this sort of thing happens and there are many players (yes mostly hat chasers) who would jump at the chance to take control of a guild that all ready has tower time on it. They could even give players the option to sell their guilds for profit if they chose to. you could make a "used" guild market for it by either putting a set sale price based on a set value determining the worth of the guild according to its stats or "hours" with guilds having higher hours being worth the most. or by an ebay style auction where you could bid on the used guilds over a set period of time say 24 hours. Could you imagine guild leaders getting there guilds to like 500 hours then turning around and selling the guild for like 50k or something? |

No that would really suck I was just putting it out there. Imo guild owners/leaders get a little to much input on things that ends up leading to drama. Specially when a guild is closing in on 1k and everybody and their grandma wants on the hat list.

Guild that don't have a spar or tower record gets deleted after the leader is non active for a whole year usually when Rufus deletes inactive guilds. That way new names can be recycled for people who'd actually use a guild for the real reason.

So its just the 1's with no record that gets deleted? But some that may have even very small or barely any stats stay around for ever? I thought they wouldn't delete guilds if there where at least some members still active even if the leader wasn't.

Here's an example: Exiled elements, old guild, has 1.8k hours. The guild was taken through anger by odiened from Bboyy. We ask for it back, but he declines. Odiened uses it as a sub for a guild named farewell. Pisses me off but what can they do? |

I know you can transfer ownership of guilds, but it might be nice if they added a co-ownership option. That would allow for guild owners to name an officially labeled co-owner/leader that would have all the same abilities/powers as the owner/leader. With the exception that they wouldn't be able to sell the guild or transfer their half of the ownership with out the permission of the other owner.
