Hello again new idea time I got 2 for you today: 1: Water hazard Since there are a lot of people in the water these days why not have some kind of water hazard. My idea for a water hazard is this: Depth charges-they could be drums floating in the water that explode and damage you if you touch them like a bomb would. (I'm all for blowing stuff up) 2:Dual purpose towers This would just be editing the current towers or making a new one that would allow for both towering for guilds and house a boss baddie as part of a quest. There is plenty of room at Castle,Sardon's to make a boss baddie room from rooms that are all ready there and aren't really being used and don't see much traffic. Mod, might take a little bit of work re-arranging to make a spot for stairs that lead down to where the boss baddie would be. Snow I would just make a switch that would make stairs appear in the frozen fountain,Swamp I would just make small LOZ like wirl pools in the water that you can get in and get warped to the boss baddie room (you would have to have the flippers equipped in order to dive in the wirl pool to prevent attackers/defenders from getting warped when its unwanted). DW just put a casket that opens to reveal stairs somewhere there is all ready a bed. I don't think york would work unless you add a new area to the caves. Tower Boss baddie Ideas: Castle-Dragon Swamp-just move the blob in there save time and work Snow-Abomadable snowman DW-Dracula/Vampire,Ghost,ghoul,gaint spider (lots to choose from) Sardons-Evil wizard (Sardon duh) Mod-Chimera (its a three headed beast with the body of a lion) What I'm thinking is they would be 1 off battles (you only fight them once.) They would each give you a spoil which would be one of the graals needed to open the golden gates which would lead to a new town or island area. You could always throw in gralats or an item for defeating them as well or give a small some of gralats if you allow players to fight them repeatedly. |

Water is a finicky thing, and I don't think you can be damaged in it even through scripts. I don't understand why it's in any towers currently. In fact, scripting diving was a very troublesome thing and it doesn't even involve combat/taking damage. Just changing the players gani was a headache. Personally I would love to see towers take a more deeper and involved direction. Something like Dungeon Defenders if you ever played it... but the more complex it is the harder it will be to design and balance. Not to mention it will always be very hard to design towers in a way that is truly balanced for guilds. I'm not saying a guild should be able to take and hold a tower with 2 players, but it is a numbers game right now. I mean, say you hold a tower... and you could build defenses/have NPC soldiers. How would we determine how players can "pay" for these defenses? Time? Then it takes a bit of a snowball effect, where people who hold towers for longer get more defenses, and thus are harder to take. Because they are harder to take, they can hold for longer and buy more defenses! It would become increasingly hard for the tower to get taken. Can't let guilds use gralats, because then it becomes pay2win. Alternatively each tower could have a predefined set of defenses, and the goal being to maintain defenses... but that's still a numbers game(more guild members on = more guilds fixing defenses). How do you design a tower in a way that the guild with the most players on isn't the automatic winner? It's a weird, and unique environment, and very hard to maintain balance and fairness when trying to design. If you guys have ever played another MMO with a similar sort of concept of competing for an area, it'd be nice to hear input on how those games maintain it. Just remember this isn't player vs player, but groups of players competing. In my opinion, the goal of towers should be something fun for guilds to take. Something a guild should want to get together to do because it will be entertaining to do as a group. I'm not saying there shouldn't be a reward, but fun should be the main reason a guild would want to take a tower. I also don't think a prize after a certain time is a good prize. It needs to be something that can keep the player interested, even after a certain period. With guild houses also needing a rehaul, it might be cool to see the two linked(for example earning some sort of currency for a guild for every hour a tower is taken, and using it to buy furniture for your guild house). I don't really design much PvP stuff though. |

I like where your going with that maybe it could be worked out so it would encourage guilds to stay together rather than continually recycle every 1k hours. I have an idea that would go along with this. I know time and time again I have been vehemently against player owned shops, but what about guild owned shops? How it would work: each guild would have its own bank or Guild funds they would use to buy stuff for the guild. You would earn guild funds for every hour your guild holds a tower you get a set amount of gralats say 1hr=100 gralats. Then once your guild accumulates enough gralats (say 10k which would = 1k hours you would be able to purchase a shop that would be available inside the guild house. Players would be able to access it by clicking on your guild and then clicking the enter gh option. What would be inside the shop? The normal custom milestone reward stuff you would be able to get in a guild. Once you purchase your gh (when you reach 1k) it would come with one hat stand. The selected 25 members would still get the custom 1k hat for free. The kicker is that the hat would be placed on a table or hat stand and be available for purchase to the public. All guild shop items would have to have a set price depending on item type and every time an item is purchased from a guild shop a portion of the profit would go into the guild fund (say 10%). There would need to be a shop somewhere where you can purchase stands or basically give the ability for gh's to sell more items or item types. For example: 100k gralats or 1k hours you could buy custom hat slots, and 1 million gralats or 10k hours you could get custom mount slots 2.5-5m for 2p mount, and there would be room for other custom type stuff to be added in the future. An option would also be on furniture items in shops to select them for personal inventory or gh inventory so they can be used to decorate gh and shops. Gh furniture would only be able to be purchased by guild owner and would come directly out of the guild's accumulate funds. So the rewards system would be changed a bit but players would still get a free custom items if they contribute enough. No personal gralats would be gained as it just wouldn't work as there is no current way to gauge how long a player is active on a guild tag. The one major thing is I'm not sure how to start out the system and work around the guilds that all ready have hours? I think it would be best to start all guilds out evenly and not keep guilds closing in on milestones from getting the rewards. I would like any input you guys have on that or on my idea in general. I'm sure a lot will not like the idea because it would lesson the value of a milestone reward item if everybody can just purchase it. However I think it would help to off set that if the GH store items where set at higher prices than your normal shops on the map as it should be imo. I'm not sure where to set the price point or range for it maybe 20-30k for a hat and 40-60k for a mount. Idk I want it high but reasonable and not outrageous. |

Let me put it this way right now 2p mounts are the most expensive thing to buy in the game and I don't see an over whelming number of players running around on 2p mounts. I'm sure there are more people that have them than I realize because they are like me and have one but rarely use it. I barely ever use mine because its slower than normal mounts and I get bugged a ton for rides by random ppl not to mention the admins killed glitching. |

Flag spar: Basically this would be in a spar type box arena with a flag in the middle and both players would start on opposite ends in marked off re-spawn areas. IDk what to set the flag hp to maybe 10 but the goal would be to fight off your opponent and take control of the the flag.

As to towers, have you ever played call of duty 'nazi zombies' ?? It was a popular alternate gameplay option way back when... basically the concept I want to bring to light is that players in that game would be thrown into a building or area with limited entrances (sort of like the towers in graal) and have to defend it for as long as they could against the zombies. Doors and windows were able to be 'boarded up' and blocked to prevent the zombies from coming inside... the parallel that immediately came to mind is that players could work to destroy objects or obstacles that would block the path to the flag, while others could try to destroy or find another way in (like the dual entries in york fort). Potentially multiple entrances (or objectives to reach in order to take over the fort instead of just a flag) would be the way to limit the influence of a guild with multitudinous members! Just hit the barrel of TNT, for example, and the fort gets blasted from underground, killing all inside and putting everyone back at the entrance? Also, something with 'guild house' and 'towering' might be interesting - the ability to go and capture a 'flag' at some one else's guild house in order to get a prize? Maybe something along the lines of a time limited competition with similarities to guild spar/capture the flag in game, but hosted at players' GH's ? Which leads me to another interesting concept that I had been toying with a while ago... what about neighbours? I hate how, in many of the current house and GH layouts there is just a line that denotes the end of your level 'property' and no explanation of what goes past there. How about a link to a buddy's place? Other MMO's do this, with varied results... but walking into a friend's place from your own would be awesome! On that note, so would being able to walk from your own Guild House to your House through a door, warper, level edge... ;) |

Adding onto the second paragraphs idea, what if we added a guild activity called 'Guild War'. A set guild house could be invaded by another guild, with the owner of the guild house's guild defending? (Will elaborate later) |

Mount abilities- 1.First off I have noticed with the flying mounts that they appear to levitate or hover just barely off the ground rather than fly. IMO they should be higher up off the ground and cast a shadow more like the flying morphs. 2.Imo it would be nice if you could do more while on a mount then just eat bushes/bombs and breathe fire and swing your sword. As in: shoot arrows or throw bombs, swing your bug net, light your lantern, and maybe be able to push pull things. |
