Add more caves, they are usually super crowded and i have to fight with people to attain eye patches which takes alot of time.

That wouldn't resolve the problem I feel as more people would do it, and no sooner would the problem happen again. After all, isn't the classic population still increasing?
Instead, a better alternative might be group instances either defined by guild, or if the player's not part of one, a certain player cap before another is created.  

I was going to do this, but then I reconsidered. I don't think the Pyrat quest is in need of any sort of buff at all. It's currently pouring way more gralats into the playerbase than any of the other jobs.

Is there some sort of way this can be changed so people cant take your eye patch?

I thought they already couldn't? I'm pretty sure whoever does the most damage towards the Pyrat gets the eye patch, then after 10 seconds or so anyone can pick it up.  

You must be the first to make 3 hits on the pyrat. Then the eyepatch drop is locked for only you to take, but is unlocked for anyone to take after the pyrat respawns (so yes, close to 10sec)
