What's The Appeal of Lucky Star?
So that anime is literally huge in anime culture, but I don't understand why. I watched the first episode and part of the 2nd, but I got bored. Literally NOTHING happens at all. They spend 15 minutes talking about food, there's no plot development whatsoever. So far, its not even funny either. It's literally the most uneventful anime I've seen. I don't mean to be a hater, I haven't watched enough to critique it, I'm just wondering. Does it get better after the first episode? Does anything remotely exciting even happen? Does it get funnier? |

Lucky Star is the same thing with K-on, Moe. People praise these cute little girls who enjoy their everyday life. That's the appeal of a few anime these days, nothing is better than cute girls doing cute stuff. Plus Lucky Star uses a lot of references to the anime culture, which in turn brings more hard core anime fans into liking it. Lucky Star is not at all an anime to watch if you have not seen tons of anime series and really understand the anime culture. |

Made by the same studio as K-ON (i think anyways). Moe shows i normally dislike as they serve no point with 0 plot progression

I find them enjoyable. They may not have the best or any plot, but they are enjoyable series that really picks you up when your down, or make your day brighter.

The characters, the backgrounds, the music. It's a nice atmosphere, Killua is right! Sometimes you just want to relax with a nice, easy-going story.
