My Graal Client is being extremely laggy. The frame rate is slow and when I press down on my keyboard, it responds to it almost a second later.
None of my other programs are like this. My computer runs Windows 8. Does anybody know any solutions?  

Press F3, Enable/Disable the OpenGL option.

If this fails, update your graphics card. Device Manager -> Graphics Monitor -> Right-click your GPU, Properties and Update Driver.  

Sounds like a definite graphics driver issue, yes. Johnaudi has the right idea.  

For the most part this is what you can expect for PC. Unfinished client and terribly-kept servers don't help.

Hey man, I speak the truth. I can barely run the client and get damn-near similar problems. Only on Classic servers does it do this, while iOS servers run smooth. Dipping to 3FPS isn't exactly fun.

That doesn't make sense.

How is this a client/FPS problem and ONLY iOS servers run smooth?  

I've never had graphical issues running the client on the PC before. It will give you errors if you do not have your video card drivers installed, or if you try to run it through RDP, but otherwise it's always been smooth even on lackluster hardware.

Then again, those of you with 5+ year old laptops may be hurting.

Because most players aren't playing the iOS servers through the PC client???


People have had problems with the PC client in the past, this sounds like a graphics driver issue though.

What does the server have to do with Client-FPS if there's no CPU overload on clientside?  

I have pressed F3 which definitely improves the frame rate, but it is still very laggy. My graphics driver is up to date, but I have found that I only have a Microsoft one.

I use a tablet.

Tablets are considered mobile, technically a laptop.
