Haven't played this game for 23 or 24 days, but came back the other day and decided to go at 10k kills in a day because sparring doesn't interest me when 3500 people are online. While I was doing it, I Notepad'd my kills just to have a benchmark for how long it was going to take me, so here's that:

7am EST: 512 - Bigger mob than expected
8am EST: 527 (1039)
9am EST: 408 (1447) - People are claiming that I am "hacking" because I'm making sure to die with <10 arrows (thus dropping none), so I stop buying arrows
10am EST: 459 (1906)
11am EST: 572 (2478)
12pm EST: 587 (3065) - Mob is a really good size now, but I'm being lazy and talking to a friend in PMs
1pm EST: 704 (3769)
2pm EST: 598 (4367)
3pm EST: 579 (4946) - Left wrist is hurting
4pm EST: 331 (5277) - Took a 30-minute break to stretch and get food
5pm EST: 603 (5880) - Got half of a blob kill here
6pm EST: 413 (6293)
7pm EST: 468 (6761)
8pm EST: 646 (7407) - Finally got a full blob kill here, but I didn't get many kills at all
9pm EST: 404 (7811)
10pm EST: 496 (8307) - Mob has shifted into an awful spot
11pm EST: 404 (8711)
12am EST: 422 (9133)
1am EST: 429 (9562) - Incredibly bored and ready for this to be over; having to chase noobs for kills
2am EST: 438 (10000)

All kills done at Graal City (other than 1.5 blob kills that accounted for ~220 kills)
~84% sword, ~16% arrows (collected through WhatPulse heatmap data)
10000 in 19.5 hours = ~513 kills per hour = ~9 kills per minute
~12312 projected in a full 24 hours

This was done on a Wednesday. I'm not sure if people are more active on weekends over the summer, but these same numbers can probably be assumed and applied to weekends when school is in?

Random stuff that some people might find interesting or useful:

1. The best time to PK seems to be between 11am EST and 4pm EST, and I'm just assuming that's because Graal is composed mostly of Americans and Euros, and Americans are just waking up around these times and Euros are later in the evening where they probably have free time
2. From my experience, I don't think buying arrows are really worth it (in respect to the time and cost) unless the mob is extremely large or you're PKing around the blob
3. The entire day I went from MoD to Graal City (completely neglected Sardon's because my friend's guild is currently 24/7 there), and it's pretty clear that Graal City is by far the place the place to PK if what you care about are kills

IJKL are my movement keys, S is my sword, and D is my bow. I didn't include F because it's my mount and I never used it when PKing. It doesn't show how many times I used my sword or bow, just how many times I pressed the keys, so keep that in mind.

I guess you can make some assumptions from that data, like if you're trying to get 5000 kills in a day then you can probably be expecting to brainlessly mash "S" about 6500 times.

IDK if anyone has any use for this information, but thought I'd post it here just in case because otherwise it's just lying around. No clue if it has any real value or use or if numbers fluctuate wildly from day to day over the summer.

I'll probably ask an admin to close/lock this if possible, because it's no surprise that a thread meant only to be helpful and offer information will be received poorly by pessimistic people that lurk these forums all day in search of an argument for no reason at all  

Please that PK list thing never happened, because I can find other things to do with my time. But I will admit to pking for 2 days straight without exiting the game and managed to get myself 4k.

No, I did read the thread. And none of it is "helpful" to anyone. The only thing that appears to be useful is the timeframe you set for the busiest part of yesterday in the area under graal city. Which is not useful information either because the little sword spam button mash mobs are not daily occurrences. One large mob randomly occurs one day, and the a couple days after the more desperate people try to keep it running and it eventually completely dies off.

The rest of what you wrote, the hour-by-hour journal and keyboard map, are not applicable to anyone else.  

Does it need to be useful for anything? I thought it was pretty interesting.

I kind of didn't read all of it. But is if a new record for most kills on a day?
