Utterly pathetic from CNN, yes there is so called child pornography in anime but its about 0.00001% of anime. This report is so biased its almost as like CNN does'nt want anime to exist at all in an industry which is slowly gaining

Oh im willing to bet my leg i could find a "real anime" that has child pornography in it. Also i dont think cnn understands japans Modern day culture. Japan is huge on synthetic sex since they work like, 60 hrs a week so they dont have time for relationships let alone 1 nighters, thus why dating sims are super popular in Japan. Also considering how they invented tentacle porn for a loophole in a law that censored all pics of dicks on internet, this type of stuff is common in japan. You never know whats comming out of japan.

At the very least, be grateful they added this. I know a lot of olden men/women that literally have never heard of anime/manga. Imagine if this is the first time they read about it. Imagine what hell I would go through if I went and said "I like watching anime" to someone who only read this article, if that wasn't included. I'm talking about some amazing poetic and dramatic anime like Clannad, they'd assume that I'm talking about animated rape porn or something. Wish they would have expanded more on anime as a whole though.

But I need to be completely honest with you OP, there actually is pornographic material in some manga/anime/Doujins like CNN describes. There is truth to them saying such material exists, but they exaggerate and sensationalize it beyond belief. This is how the media works, regardless of platform. People won't read an article or watch your channel if its boring, so you try to make things sound as outrageous as possible. They appeal to the emotions to sway viewers that are less intelligent.

Now what they do wrong is how they interpret it. They compare it to REAL CP, in which there are actual people harmed. It's just a damn drawing. It's like crying over a batman movie because the joker was a terrorist or over GTA5 because it corrupts our youth's minds. They act like fictional content causes problems when they even cited a study that proves that it doesn't.

American movies have porns in them. Of course, not all. The same thing as anime. They have some of the bloodiest movies of them all, so does anime. No differences here except anime is drawn/animated, and movies have actors. They consider a lower haft of a manga chapter child pornography, when the movies in US show much more. Anime is simply art. They over exaggerate too much. I understand CNN's argument about child pornography is bad, I get it. But this just makes them a total **** to bash on all.

No differences here except anime is drawn/animated, and movies have actors. They consider a lower haft of a manga chapter child pornography, when the movies in US show much more. Anime is simply art. It's there in American TV/Movies but the presentation is different. Anything sexual about young girls and boys is generally only present in negative situations (abuse). There's nothing culturally to compare loli fandom to in the US.

Yes haha it is pretty good SAO is a very interesting series. Btw, I was joking about SAO being hentai xD sure there are a few creepy scenes but nothing that turned me off of the series, it just exposed creepy traits of villians which is not too uncommon for any type of media. And about the incest thing, as far as I recall they were not related by blood, so I have no issue with that. What is so wrong with that? I would not have a problem with a step-sister who is fine, I would treat her as any other attractive girl, except for the fact that we would live together- which could actually be a very good thing.

So I took the time to read the article and nowhere - not a single place in any of the original CNN articles - generalizes anime and manga as CP. Sure, maybe it said so in the skewed and biased OtakuUSA, but if you take a look at the actual source CNN articles, all they're saying is that CP mangas evade the new CP law in place, while giving an (incorrect) example. In any event, Love Hina wasn't used as an example of CP, it was used as an example of child abuse, and rightfully so. Where the hell are you seeing CNN say "all anime and manga is CP and should be banned"? All they're saying is that specifically CP/child abuse anime and manga do indeed exist. Don't get so worked up about it.
