As for leveling and factions: I think that there should be a bunch of ranks/ levels within the factions, and you can move up within them. That's just me though the only tricky part about factions is that they need to be equally interesting (not sure if that's the word I'm looking for) to players, while they each need to be unique enough to stand apart as well... And maybe there could be a test, or 'sorting hat' (ha) that would recommend which faction you join based on your accounts statistics (like player kills, baddie kills, spar w-l, or whatever) I thought it would be cool if when you killed a faction member, you lost point/ whatever in your faction. And the faction hideouts could serve many actual, practical purposes. Like a spar where you can practice with other members, where you go to recieve/ turn-in missions, where you get your gear, shooting ranges, mess halls :O? we're you could get health, and a lot of other stuff. Plus a shop where you can buy faction unique items like bikes :o

why not instead you have squads that choose a faction they are in. Keep the current squad system, but if you join a iceria or CTF map as a random and in the same faction as that squad in game, if you stay through the whole game, then you win personal faction points. These points you can use at your factions hide out to get more items unique to that faction, graalets, or ZC. You can increase your amount of faction points that you get throughout the game based on your preformance. Bonus for joining and staying through whole game- 1 point Win- 5 points Kills- every 10 kills is 1 point Bases captured- 2 points Attacking bases (if you are near the base and killing defenders) 1 point Defending Bases (if you are near the base and defending off attackers) 1 point |

Maybe each faction should have their own planet, and each faction can attack the other factions planet, and take it over, and have shops there and if they own it, they might get a discount on the items or just some reward for owning the planet

Also with the decision of squads and to remove them or not, maybe they should keep squads but you can only recruit members from your faction, I would be ok if they removed squads in general, but other players would disagree. |

That is just one thing. I would surely hope that is not all that is wanted from factions. O.o For the sake of controlling something though have "Zones" on the skyworld that factions can control is one option that can be done. From what I have read in this thread is you all want factions to be a relatively large part of the game. So we will need many different options. Also I still haven't seen many of my questions answered from my first large post. |

Ok I'm going to try and go as in-depth as I can here. This is my personal opinion on how Factions should be added to Zone. FACTIONS A unique team/system in place aside from Squads. They allow more in-depth gameplay and are excluded from Basing. You would join one Faction and be loyal to them. If you don't participate in Faction activities for amount of days, you would be removed from the Faction and lose your spot (will explain more later on). WHAT WOULD FACTIONS HAVE? All Factions would have different themes and fighting styles. Each Faction would have 1 Home Planet that is unique to them and benefits themselves. This would include type of environment, baddies, weapons, and layout. Aside from a Home Planet, each Faction would have different leveling classes, and when leveling up they are able to gain new equipment/items that only they can use. FACTION GAMEPLAY? Factions would have their own solar system. In the Faction Solar System there would be Home Planets for every Faction (THIS IS WHERE FACTIONS WOULD ATTACK AND DEFEND THEIR PLANET) and 1 "peace treaty" planet where you can discuss with other Factions and talk about attack techniques (Maybe to team up and take over a Faction?!). Each Faction has a certain amount of players. These players are expected to take part in Faction Activities. A system would be in place that logs which players seem to be "clogging" up space in a Faction and remove them. They would not lose their progress with that Faction, but would if they joined a different Faction. EXAMPLE OF BATTLE Extraterrestrial Faction attacks Star Faction. Extraterrestrial Faction has 10 Players attacking the Star Faction. Star Faction has 10 Players defending their Planet. BATTLE BEGINS! 5 minute timer. The Star Faction is warped to their Main Room (let's say a control panel room that is controlling their planet). Extraterrestrial Faction is warped onto the planet's outside. The Extraterrestrial Faction must now maneuver through Star Faction's planet and destroy their Control Panel before time runs out. If the 5 minute timer runs out and the mission is failed. Star Faction receives a gralat prize reward and experience that goes towards leveling up in the Faction for defending. If the Extraterrestrial Faction breaks and destroys the Control Panel before the 5 minute timer runs out then the Extraterrestrial Faction would receive a gralat prize reward and experience that goes towards leveling up in the Faction for successfully attacking. This is my general idea for Factions which seems both fun and time investing to me. |
