Ol'West Review

If you want a bland server this is the one for you! Here is the review of Ol'West or what I call Ol'News!
The server really does feel like a clone. From the start you can see the same ignorance from the year 1492! Instead calling the npc's "Naitive Americans"
we get that sip of stupid as they are named "Indians".
What a shame right? Similar jobs to Era. Your typical picking picking flowers and what not. After the first 30 min I felt like I was getting really bored. The server does earn one reward from me though. Worst graphics of all ios servers. The server throws you in with no background story or history.

Gameplay: 3.5/10
Graphics: 1.5/10
Sound: 6/10

The graphics are mostly alright with me, I agree that they could use a bunch of improvement in some areas, though.

I was surprised that they decided to make the Natives' name "Indians"; may as well call them "redskins", huh?

The server is meant to be iEra thrown into the past, so IMO, the whole "clone/reskin" issue is fine with me.

They have lore in one of the bundlings, I didn't read it all but it's based on the gold rush or something. And how long did it take u to come up with the "Ol'News" pun??

The issue is that it was supposed to be Era thrown in the past. How are you possibly supposed to make it unique when it's Era in the past? Honestly I felt like there was very little difference in the general scheme of things. I understand the hardwork the put into this, and definitely won't make people feel bad when they spent countless time making it. But I do know I won't be playing it. The biggest issue for me was just being Era in the past. Too much similarity in two "seperate" servers.

This. May as well play Era, it's got more content on the same map; and has bows, guns, fedoras, headdresses, etc. already.

That said, I do like the server, but I think it should've been equipped with a different - unique - gmap, or released as an expansion to iEra within the same app.

I think it would be cool if a server would start trying to mimic classic every once and awhile.

Damn, Zone should have just said they were Era from the future to avoid criticism.

NPC's invading the map have never been a good thing and I'm not sure why some haven't figured that out yet. Overall, I sort of like the graphics, but they could have done better; 6.5/10. The music and sounds are absolutely dreadful in my opinion: 1/10. The gameplay seems interesting to me: 8/10.

The graphics are pretty bad, and everything that isnt bad I am pretty sure the Ol West team didnt make. Pretty sure the sounds are mostly from Era, and the "game play" is the same as any other gun server.

You got me on that, but the BG music is the worst I've ever heard.

Again, the bandits literally need to be set at a minimum spawn rate or just be removed entirely. I'm sure there's more NPC's that players in many areas. Not to mention they're buggy.

I'd love to see this game improve.

this game is garbage. Wheres the unique weapons? It plays just like era. Bank robbers ITS NOT EVEN ****ING BANK ROBBING. ITS JUST BASING WTF GRAAL PLZ. Just no no no, this server is even worse than era. The only 2 original servers that are actually different are delteria and zone, Thats it.

Ol'West I thought would be great but it looks rushed. Horrible graphics and NPC scripting.
