I would love if the Staff was completely anonymous and nobody could see them except for a couple key people (The Administrators of each team, so basically you'd only ever see Xor, Twinny, Matt, NYN, Trigger, and myself). The idea that being in a "Staff guild" gives you perks is absurd. When Zanza hit 1k tower hours, do you know how hard it was for them to get a hat? About as hard as any other guild. I didn't handle the hat what-so-ever. I wasn't part of the hat design, voting, or receiving. I didn't even know about it until I saw them all running around with their red hats. I don't pay any attention to them (or anyone) either. Poor, neglected little Zanza's. |

The thing is staff guilds have someone to look into bans for them, someone to ban any hackers or glitchers at the tower, I remember Zanza and the bar. People would glitch inand get in trouble. For going into a Zanza only bar. It was that that started all the rumors of staff guilds having there own places and getting to go behind the scenes, and of course the staff guild members getting special treatment/ being hired more. The tower stuff I believe is true and should be stopped. Staff guilds shouldn't compete in those things, even if you make a sub guild with no staff accounts in it, still having staff have preferences isn't really fair. It reminds me of the illiad and the odyssey, where during the trojan war the gods chose sides and fought eachother, each god helping the side they wanted to win. As for staff hiring, we know that's true. Look at how many Zanza members are now staff, how many magic members, how many cruxis, you can't deny staff friends get hired more. While that's how it works in real life some times in less professional companies, that doesnt make it any more fair, and I think staff should get to know people who apply for it, and get to know how they act that way, or check on players that are popular due to being friendly and helpful, maybe look for more staff on pc, where there's more experience and they may have something to contribute other than being gp and refusing to try anything else. I know I'd try ganis and get muse to help me, as I already do graphics, but graal shop does not work on macs and no Mac version will be made for some damn reason. As for emulating and converting and all that crap, if I knew how to do that stuff don't you think I'd try scripting instead? As for some of the other things about staff guilds, I know aren't true,

But there's no denying it, at one point in our graal life time we were all secretly (maybe not even secretly) admin suck ups... |

One time at Aurons chair shop Raiden was there with a bunch of people. I just said hi and I proceeded to buy chairs. At that moment I notice Aurons avatar behind the counter was a noob. I asked Raiden why his avatar is a noob and he replied "Because Auron is a nub." (le me) "Oh that makes so much sense now." But at that exact moment some noobs came and spammed the air so Raiden left.

For example the whole staff give their members special privileges thing is wrong, any special treatment to guild members was treated harshly back then. Pavilion used to let us email him our stuff to be uploaded, and because of that he got his uploading rights taken away. (also it was partially because of a inappropriate sword I tricked him into uploading not realizing it would lead back to him... He said he forgave me for it but I still feel bad for doing it..) As for katops, he never meant to do anything unfair, I remember he would go and get staff bombs and give us them and We would throw them into the farm and he would collect it all and use it to buy furniture for our guild house, he always called it ours, never his. I remember seeing him go out and hand out shock bombs and paladin bombs to players in the tree across the street from burger refuge. *nostalgia* I remember how everyone thought Lollipop had rigged a hide and go seek for a gummy bear body and head. I was inside the haunted forest of onettown, (I love the witches level with the glowing cauldron and frog) when I saw the hide and seek message from her and the hint was about the forest, so I walked out and there she was and she dragged me up, I was first. People thought it was too convient and XOR got pissed at her thinking she gave me it because we were friends and it was rigged. I honestly had no idea she was there, but I see how it may seem convient. I remember when I reached 2000 hours, and I could enter the grotto for the first time, and I guild messaged it and asked muse (I was in her guild, death corps) "can I have a hug as a present?" (inside joke about how she mistook the iPhone players begging for hugs as being loving and kind at first until we explained it to her) She replied something like "no, but I can give you a hat " and of course, I asked for her muse mask hat, she actually gave it to me, I thanked her so much, and to this day I remember her kindness. That was a time when I expected staff to give me bans, not presents, I realize it was unfair as she only gave that hat out to people that beat her in spar, Xor promised she could give it out to those that beat her at spar and it would never be sold. it was a rare and special hat that looked like her helm, I always wore it. I was her little demon, it wasn't the hat that mattered, I hardly changed my look, but that hat was special because it showed our friendship... To others who got it through spar, it was simply a great win in spar against a powerful opponent. Of course, in the end after Xor fired her for inactivity due to irl issues, he broke his promise and had the hat sold in stores anyway. As for staff friends and guild members getting sneak peeks, while I was never in the guild of a hired lat (pav was good at Lating, never hired. Got fired. Quit.) I never got sneak peaks because of being in a staff guild. I got shown these sneak peeks unintentionally, I said udid in a pm and Nat tped me to her house (actual level , not house as in house pack house) and asked me about it. After I explained to her ad showed I wasnt hacking or scamming she left. I didn't get sent back or unstick med, she just disappeared and left me in her home. I must say, the noob bound up to a chair npc made me feel much more grateful I wasn't actually scamming for udids, that could have been me! (lol) Also I saw snowtown bar or pub whatever as a treat with everyone else that attended self titled and mentos wedding. I remember joking around with Lola who was pretending to play the piano in there. I've seen a special area before. Can't say who or what it was like. He knows who he is, and I'm sure only seeing it yourself could do it justice, even with my verbose posts I couldnt describe it all. Let's just say it fitting for a demon. Oh and Nyn teleported me to a weird place that wasnt open that had a great waterfall inside it... It was wood and stuff and that's all I can remember. I was on top of the waterfall with Nick on the wooden tiles so I couldn't run around, and Nick was lecturing me on something I was doing that I think was rude or something and threatening to ban me and said something about how he would have punched me in the face if I had said that to his face. *slightly less pleasant nostalgia* And one time someone invis dragged me out offmap near the lower entrance to dead wood, near the hilly cave bits with the door with the lock, I don't know who did it, I was afk and came back to find myself being dragged there, I asked who was doing it and was confused, then someone jailed me for glitching. I think I was framed. Those are the only times I have seen a unreleased area because of a staff member, none because of me being in a staff guild, If youve read all this, you deserve a prize for being better than the illiterate rodent witted people that demand spark notes versions of my posts. |

I give lots of material and information out. I like to use higher level vocabulary and more poetic/ literary techniques in my posts sometimes. It makes it less boring to read. Its just how I write, summarizing seems to be such a horrible thing to do as it leaves the reader with less information and makes me feel like im dumbing down my posts and simplifying them to a point where they are worthless to the thread.

Ugh... For me (Which i did read the Entire thing), i see some of the things that should be taken seriously into consideration: -First off, I only see most people becoming admins (other than Marion/Remi) from most admin-biased guilds such as magic, black/yellow, cruxis and such. Some of these admins are: iPikachu, Zirik, Twaina and Epik. Im starting to think this is all on a "favorite" choice, meaning that they're admins because they have supporters who are or were admins. This is the same hypothesis people were doing on Graal. Other admins pretty much gave weak contributions such as answering lots of people's questions, submitting GFX monthly, or something that most players could easily do. This isn't fair to those who are purely talented. and as said, Zirik and Twaina have been answering plenty of questions while Notch and the others submit GFX "But they contributed so much and without them, Graal is gone... blah blah blah blah" Not true. Theres hundreds of true talented people (Tpugman for example). The ones i see are currently in admin based guilds or are dating admins. This is just my hypothesis so you don't need to whine. -Second, according to what i read bout Pav, Katops, and Muse, i kinda see a huge change here. Graal Classic is supposed to be fun. admins aren't really showing any fun. They're just cluttering my inbox with broadcasts and only take their work damn serious. What happened to that funny Evil-Jesus/NYN play? What happened to the JP dude who pogo jumped around town? (which is kinda funny too) and one more question: What happened to the "We have real lives too. We have to work more often" complaint? Why are some admins being fired because of this? Not really fair. again, my honest hypothesis and opinions. Want to whine like a lil girl? Go ahead. I don't care |
