Best 3D Game engine?

I want to begin learning how to level design in 3D but have no idea what programs are good or not good. The only program I've heard of is unity but not sure if its good or not. Also what programming language would be good to know for this kind of stuff?

Like the others I would recomment Unity.

If you're interested in creating your own 3D assets I would recommend Blender. It's free, it's fairly user friendly and there are some fantastic tutorials available at no cost.

I downloaded Unity and its pretty cool. I don't know what the hell I'm making on there but its really fun. I'm probably gonna download unreal engine since the screen shots on the website look really nice.

Anyone know any tutorial websites or youtube channels? Only one I know of is thenewboston.com

Best game engine that's worth it's price is Unreal Engine. You can pay $10 (last time I checked) monthly but, you can pay the $10 once and download it then cancel your subscription. If you want to get an update or get news, you can just purchase the subscription again.
