I wouldn't mind a level where people are actually sailing and the ship has scheduled shops at ports like pre-NPC Server Classic. Maybe that's the plan? Maybe they want the ships to sail on the actual overworld instead? Maybe neither?

That was actually one of the scripts I converted on the Dev Server before the wipe for the NPC Server. However, I doubt it was in GScript2, and it was probably pretty ****ty code because I didn't have very much experience programming at that point. But hey, it worked, and you never learn if you don't try!

While I do see the point as to why none of these areas will probably ever be added, I am a little offset by all the excuses of no content added at all. However, I'd be fine to look past even that, had the staff not purged the map of all the cool, albeit "contentless" buildings (SNC, darkblade house, the little shack through the cave in snowtown, the society, air Asia, etc) , sure, they didn't have any "content" per set, but they still made great places to hang out with people and made the over world a little more fun to roam, especially the password protected places. Removing them would have been fine in my books had they been replaced with other content, but they were not. A long time ago, me and some friemds/guild mates used buildings like the SNC one as an on map base/place to hang, now most of us idle in Graal City like half the population of Graal, which supposedly was supposed to be moved away from. I apologize if this jumped all over the place, but the base point is that if no content is going to be added, stop getting rid of what we have until whatever content that could replace it is ready. |
