So, I'm planning to shell for the Shipka this week and next, and I'm going to start off with two 27.5k packs. How long would you think I would have to shell per day to get the last 70k I need?  

10 shovels will get you about 4-5k gralats. Now calculate how fast/long you dig.  

I highly doubt you get that much on average for 10 shovels. You also have to factor in shovel costs. I'd say around 3k without shovel costs.

You don't even need a calculator, please tell me you were joking. I am just unsure of the exact amount of gralats per shovel. As far as I'm aware you won't be able to get 5k from just 10 shovels.

I highly doubt you even tried to find the average amount of gralats by doing several test experiments with 10 shovels. A calculator won't do anything unless you actually test it out. As far as I'm aware 100 shovels doesn't give you anywhere near 40-50k.

Sure you sometimes can have more and less gralats, but that´s a range you can think off. There wont be differences of 1k Gralats.  

10 shovels probably nets me about 2-3k. I think I'm going to stick to Gralat packs.

My friend can get 20k in 4 hours :x I get 3k gralats in like 3 hours.  

bobby & luke shelled 10,000 shells each in one day, and gave them to me for x-mas....i still dont understand why but hey, i have 20K shells sitting in my house now c:  

When I dig, I get 3k an hour.  

I dug for the shipka not that long ago now it took me a week, I would at least get 15k+ per day some days I would get 20k a day it doesn't take that long really a good week it need and about 400+ shovels (mind you I could chew up 60+ shovels a day)

I agree with this. This sounds more like it and the post of above me as well. The average should be around 20-30k range as shovel costs are factored in for every 100 shovels.
