What are some good phone case brands? Ones that will keep the phone safe without making your phone too big to fit in your pocket?  

Just get a Gorilla glass screen protector with a $7 phone cover.My note 3 is as new as it was 6 months ago.  

Spigen makes good phone cases and some are really fashionable

They aren't that bad.  

Otterbox, Case-Mate, Incipio, or Speck. You could also get a wallet looking phone case if you'd like.  

I've had this nifty little case from i-Blason that has this little folding kickstand so you can watch videos and stuff.

It's kept my phone in one piece so far but ironically one of the plastic parts that holds the case onto the phone broke off recently.

It still works but kinda want to keep an eye for durability in cases as well as looks and functionality.  

Why can't S5 cases fit the S5 active? I can't get a customized case because they are only for the S5 i9600
