thallen if u read this, the guide i'm talking about is yours; I'd love to see it!!

Hey man I just came back with the twin who is a lot better than me at the moment, I can't seem to use my aggressive playstyle in the main sparring rooms due to lag/slow downs... GH sparring is perfect for me with the speed and non skippyness.

I'd really like to see that guide you made since you definitely are the only player on this game with knowledge of such mechanics.

ppspspsss: this isn't a troll thread, regardless if u think thall is overrated/cheats he is still the most knowledgeable player about this game.  

if you want to specifically direct a message towards someone, send them a message instead of making it a forum post. (asking Thallen for spar guide)

I renamed the thread to asking for general helps/tip since there are plenty of sparrers who can give you good input as well and it would benefit other users as well

really??!?!! You might aswell just delete it now. I want Thallen's guide public and was trying to sway him into thinking that may be the best move for this game atm.

This wasn't a personal request this is for the betterment of EVERY1 in this game, you would be dumb to think Thallen's guide wouldn't help most sparrers. Thallen constantly gets trolled and this is me being genuinely
interested in seeing his work...

@Admiral, I'm an alright sparrer myself too, just not consistent enough yet! Some written material to read may help with actual facts of how the mechanics have changed in this version.


EDIT : love to see all the hate this game brings now, it's like if you don't agree with someone you immediately have to pounce... graal used to be a little less toxic and mature.  

+1 to seeing Thallen's spar guide back to public.

I've retained a lot of the information in regards to which directions are most favorable for swing reach, and which directions yield better tiles per second. Having said that, I always liked reacquainting myself with the information I seem to always lose over time.

Thallen - please put it public again!  

I would love to be able to study Thallen's guide too  

Colin you re-edited your main post even after I asked for copy-paste of these so called rules.. if it's just your personal opinion than maybe you should have not edited my post and YOUR OWN POST to make it seem like I'm an idiot lol.... and just deleted it or pm'd me your personal issue. (I guess admins/mods get the ability to do as they choose, oh the irony you just did EXACTLY what you accused me of lol)  

I made it private because this forum is just incredibly negative towards the entire idea of sparring, and I basically just get pooped on for no reason every time I go out of my way to help people

The information on the site probably isn't as helpful as you're hoping for - it's mostly information about hit detection, directional weaknesses, the exact formula that the old and new leaderboard uses, and other more technical stuff

Thanks a lot man good to see someone agrees to where this game is headed. Absolutely disgusting imo.. people are so toxic and negative. It's all about 1upping nowadays on the internet, no one can just be friendly and open minded

All I added was the brackets saying it was for Thallens guide, so if he read it he would know that's what you wanted and that general helps/tips would help other users, no intention of making you look stupid.

You made a thread about sparring help but specified to just Thallen but there is other users who can help as well that is why I made it more of a general post - sorry if you got offended, but it's just common sense if you want to ask ONE person something then you should message them and like Thallen stated he gets pooped on for no reason so this thread probably would of turned into members showing their dislike for him which isn't helping at all.

Now anyone can help you, the more input the better, right?

Yet showing him that people like him and he's a great sparrer is something that isn't wanted? Like I said, link the rule... otherwise what you did is the EXACT same thing that I did. You should have deleted my post and PM'd me the rule I broke (which I didn't break any rules, just your own personal thinking).. you didn't make me mad, you just didn't make much sense when I see posts all day directed to a certain individual.

PS look at how your editing of the title/posts makes people think now, this thread has turned into something it shouldn't have... which you mentioned but that probably wouldn't have happened if the actual original thread idea and post contents weren't changed, thanks!!! inc well you shoulda just pm'd him.. well is it really that big of a deal? I wanted Thallen to know he has people who still support him and how much he's changed from a silent egotistical guy to someone who is genuinely interested in helping others.

He doesn't need random input, lol. He solely was wondering why/where Thallen's previously public spar guide had gone. There are dozens of crap random "Spar Tip" threads in this forum.

He's technically right by saying there is no rules stating he cannot create a post that is guided towards an individual, requesting content/understanding why from said individual.

You modifying the post actually took away from the intent of it and made it into another one of the thousands of spar tip threads -- that wasn't what he wanted.

This is Colins fault. This was not meant to be turned into a Spar Tips thread. It was a request/desired insight into why Thallen's website with the game breakdown was put to private.
