CTF got me hyped  

I have noticed this new trend however in Ol'West where gangs declare 'war' on one another. For example one time this gang hated mine so much whenever we had a base they sent some of their members on us to PK us or try to take our base, it was actually kind of fun.  

this reminds me of that time of Magic vs. NkA

They beat us to 1k hours but they had like 700 hours whenwe started. We used to double on them and they've never taken Sardon's from us before.

Well to be fair your guild held sardon before it was updated when you could abuse the door block. Then again that's what every guild who got 1k at sards did.

Spar guilds do not seem that competitive anymore because the same people always win the gst.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but no idevice GST team has repeated in the last 4 tournaments. Invalid opinions....  

I think the only GST rivalries that lasted long enough to be significant were US vs. Mother and Alumni vs. WAR
Mixed is going to be boring until some of these guilds hoarding 15+ PC sparrers split up, otherwise I think 2 guilds are practically guaranteed either 1st or 2nd

I don't really know much about what happened pre-2012 though  

pre 2012 only real rivalries were tower guilds like CxE and VG etc. all holding their own tower for 10k and beyond, though that didn't really differ to towering rivalries today.

Sparring wise, I think US pretty much dominated all aspects of sparring, could say everyone was at rivalry with them but they won 9/10  

disagree with the ('allways been like that' - trucing with guilds) if you was in a forttaking or pking guild early days you may have known.. although now its more of the 1k chase crews following to each guild.

still don't know why there isn't guildpk leaderboards to revitalise this (just add so its like +1kill on the tag killed on -but only counts in forts)  

WICCA vs UpRising was pretty intense, actually. I remember going for sards for like 8 hours in a day just because we wanted to piss off iTox lol

Tower guilds are now claiming different towers as a "home".
Competition is pretty much dead. I'm pretty sure a couple months ago, Lanky's status said something about competition being gone and how he didn't like it.
Look at Rothschild's guild news.. "Sards is home".

Everyone who was against making a home tower gave into it because they just want to get to their hour goal quickly.

No guild should have a home they should try to double and triple if possible and ally no one.

I understand why people don't like 'home' towers and towering would probably be more exciting without them. But why not do it? If it's the easiest and fastest way to reach your goal, it's probably the best idea to do it.
