@Imprint,Kosiris...Isn't it the same thing (deep pan pizza) with a little elevated corners?(i haven't seen a deep pan pizza in my life..i just googled it)

A deep-dish pizza is layered differently I think.

normal "deep dish" pizza: not sure if this picture qualifies, but most places' deep dish pizzas have more crust and hold slightly more toppings.
