So what you're saying is that people can toggle whether or not the game lets them fight someone at a certain ms right? So if the vast majority of people toggle this on and at a very low ms (which they will for sure if this was a thing) it indirectly segregates high ms players even though that wasn't the intent. I'm just thinking about ways this can/will be abused if it were to be implemented. |

Turn this option on, and set range at 150-900ms. You won't be able to fight anyone if the server is at 4k people on. Set it at 300-900, and you will not be able to fight delayers/laggers at 4k people on. During night time for PST (8 pm - 8 am) set it at 200-900, and you will not be able to queue against delayers/laggers (server is below 3k) International people will be able to fight anyone they want, the server will just limit people who have this option on, to not allow themselves to fight delayers. This is so people don't have to worry about checking if someone delays/check their flags, and only want to fight against people with a clean connection. If you can't spar anyone, you simply turn it off and risk your own neck. Btw... this is only so you don't have to worry about the people who Delay + Are using something to make themselves warp, like a lag switch. |

Ok I get the system, but my concern isn't with that system itself it's with the community. Say the spar community has 100 sparrers. 20 delayers, 80 with average or better ping. If 70/80 of those players set it up to where they won't fight delayers then they're forced to fight themselves or a very small number of people. And I don't doubt these kinds of ratios would be unseen for people who have this option. |

I've talked to people who have natural delay, and they don't go above 300 ms during 3k, so probably not over 400 ms during 4k. I for one get 150-200 ms at 4k. But, someone who is forcing their delay gets an average of 450-750ms during any time, except night time which they get 250-350. All this will do, is force the people who are forcing warp to their delay, to stop doing certain things that disrupt their connection. |

Or instead of freely choosing yourself, have the server pick reasonable ones for you depending on stuff like how much people are on. Sorry if this seems stupid :/

With this users can freely choose and aren't forced to not be able to spar. |

But can't your MS spike up and down at any given time? It seems like it's too of an unpredictable and erratic variable

This is for others, not yourself. If someone who is delaying only wants to fight non-delayers, then so be it (if they don't have the ms range option on, and are not within the restriction limit). The only thing that I am seeing is how this could easily be manipulated is by having a clean connection before the spar starts, and when you are sparring your opponent starts to disrupt their connection. Unless they add a "tie due to connection issues" option, this will be abused... but... then again if they are losing and force a said "tie due to connection issues" result, then that would be terrible as well... Besides this, the only thing that I would see working 100% is if it were possible to adjust everyone's delay response time based on their flag selection. If someone outside of the US has a 2 second delay, they just set their flag, and the server would cause a -2 second delay? Not sure if that's possible. Basically everything they see and everytime they swing will be registered 2 seconds after real-time to adjust it to everyone else depending on the location you choose. Not sure if I explained that last part correctly... time is weird gonna have to recheck what I tried to explain if I said it wrong. |

I know you all trying to find a solution to lag but theres literally no way how to fix lag every mmo has laggers and theres really nothing that can be done about it you just gotta live with it you may think laggers have a advantage but they dont its actually really hard for delayers to spar hell its hard for them to do anything really so my point is eatheir get used to it or stop playing
