people don't want this to happen (and it's obvious why) so they're gonna dilute the thread with claims that it would "encourage racism" and other BS like that

I can guarantee that displaying player latencies publicly will increase the rate of lynchings on iClassic by 300% - Donald Trump  

A ms indicator won't encourage racism though lol. Everyone is laggy at times and people aren't going to bully you or be racist when you do lag.

Is the same with the name system. Why show names when you could talk to that person and get to know their name?

You are comparing a person name to their Ms ... It's no where near similar.However maybe if you could be given the option weather to display yours or not then it might work?  

Okay dude sometimes people tend to use vpns and stuff then it becomes obvious their ms isn't the constant as it always cause I guarantee you some people delay differently everyday and they mess around with their latency!

Wish they'd make it so that in the arena your AP is flexible and it gives you 100 AP at 1 ms and 0 AP at 100 ms, obviously scaling, then at least you can determine who is laggy as hell before you begin sparring based on the coloration of their nickname

This sounds like a great idea, but it would have to be all the other colors as well.

Gold: below 100
Cyan: below 150
etc

This kid started saying ( I have no life and in probably ugly irl ) and then asked for me to add him on sbapchat , then he claimed he could ddos me through it and that lead me to saying that I have his IP ( and so do many other people as he practically shares his Skype everyone ).

This never happened.

All I do is gang up on dumb comments, the name means nothing to me. Spar lag cap is stupid, don't care who is in favor. Kirito's comments on the earlier thread were also stupid, so I will comment that. I've disagreed with a lot of people I'm friends with on many things, not just here but in game. Most prime example here is Aguzo. I still consider him a friend but I disagree with things he says on here so I'll voice it. Goes for anyone. Backing down from opinions just to keep someone a friend is pretty bad, nor do they deserve it if all it takes for them to dislike me is a differing opinion. Also goes back to what I said earlier in this thread to keep it on topic-- need thick skin. People are generally so sensitive now it makes it hard to say anything.


I know you jest, but people actually believe this stuff so I felt the need to clear it.

On topic, racism is something that will exist everywhere on the planet, both in reality and virtually. If somebody can't handle that, especially if you know the comments are being made due to your ping, then you should probably just turn your chat off or stop sparring or something. Personally I'd take pride in people calling me names when they lose to me. All it means is you've made them so mad in your victory they'll publicly embarrass themselves and lash out at you. Take pride in the win and in the loser's tears if they let you!

I wasn't really directing at you. I don't thing people should hold their real opinion on things. It just seemed like it was personal attacks based on personal opinions rather than the subject.

Maybe the racism statement was exaggerated, but derogatory terms are often used in-game.
