So i made this head as my halloween custom, could i cut some of the sides and turn this into a mask for graalolween? or perhaps a small skull for furniture o:!!!

I shade bones my own ways, btw still don't know what 'jaggies' are if someone could explain cuz im not very smart...

Create an outline on what you want to make. Try your best to make your lines not jagged, If you can't it's okay as you can always AA it at the end. If you don't know what "jagged" means, jagged sorta means that the lines look sharp or crooked (not pleasing to the eye) due to poor pixel placement.
Something like this:

Following these rules I made it curve smoothly and pointy where it should be:


So as you can see, I basically made an outline lol (No colors yet). This applies to all work not just swords.

Are there templates for that? On classic there are :O. What about Ol' West?  

use the classic templates? they are the same thing
