I found some shadow orbs. I destroyed one and I got a line that says my life would be hard. in Terraria wiki it says it's a crucial step forward. does it impact my character permanently or is it just the land that's going to be affected? i hope it's just the land, cus i found this in the secondary world.

If you break a certain about of shadow orbs then you'll summon the Eater of Worlds boss.

He's relatively hard to beat as someone on their first playthrough but yeah you'll need to beat him to get better gear and stuff.

The text is really just there for show, nothing actually serious.

haha yeah i broke 3 of them and the boss appeared. this is like the easiest boss i have fought so far. i expected to be much stronger lol.  

Skeletron gave me the most trouble as a beginner but later on he becomes child's play.

The endgame bosses are crazy though.

i killed skeletron an hour ago. thanks to my latest hellstone gears.

but now i am trying to kill the dungeon guardian using a utube holk trick.  

I don't think he drops anything that amazing.

Definitly should just move on to hardcore mode and get way better gear from there.

Hardmode* just introduces new bosses, ores and weapons to make yourself more badass.

I'll admit things get pretty intense tho.

Even regular nighttime mobs have beefed up variants that can **** your **** backwards if you're not careful.

Yeah sorry for the confusion.

Hardmode is the "next level" I guess in the game.

Beat the Wall of Flesh and the game goes to to Hardmode.

it's confusing cause when i switch the world, my character keeps all the stuff.

You world becomes hardmode after you beat WoF.

Your character stays the same and most of your world should too.

Hardmode generates a Hallow biome which is this weird uh... Well you'll see when you unlock it.
