Semi-list/ review or something
Did a lot of rearranging but this is pretty much in order of how I like 2016 winter season's anime that have come out so far. There are still a few that are looking good so this will probably change a lot. Probably get hate for how low Divine Gate is but I'm not really feeling it. It was lower but I really liked Aoto's backstory. Also Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu is high up because it was unexpected how much I'd like it. I didn't really dislike anything so far though. This isn't counting continuing series either like Assassination Classroom, GATE, Heavy Object, Durarara, or Utawarerumono... etc. Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (Erased) - I really liked the first episode, and reminded me of Steins Gate. Definitely number 1 for now. Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu - I didn't think I would like this anime since it is just about the art of Rakugo (form of storytelling/ theater performance) but it was entertaining. Made 40+ min go by quick, can't wait for ep 2. Luck & Logic - I like the character designs and the concept seems different enough, "otherworldly" monsters and kids who have the ability to make contracts with gods who are charged by the government to protect the public. Bubuki Buranki - Has a nice story and concept. The only thing off for me is the animation but still good first episode. Musaigen no Phantom World - Pretty funny, I liked the powers and supernatural aspect of it. It reminded me of Isuca mixed with Charlotte but less serious than the two. Divine Gate - First episode was ok, I like the character development and animation but the plot doesn't seem too interesting. Heaven, Earth and Hell merging giving people abilities and then something about a random gate that gives people wishes. Doesn't seem too connected, hope it gets better as it goes. Dagashi Kashi - I liked the first episode of this a lot. Basically a comedic slice of life anime about a candy shop. All of the supporting characters are eccentric except for the protagonist Kokonotsu who doesn't want to take over the shop and wants to be a manga artist. So off the bat I like the characters and plot. Shoujo-tachi wa Kouya wo Mezasu - Ep 1 basically just set up for the anime so have to see episode 2, if it is like Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata then I think it will be ok. Koukaku no Pandora - Ep 1 was interesting, futuristic anime about cyborg girl fighters or something not to sure yet on plot, needs more supporting cast. Lol I like how the only way to transfer data between the two cyborg girls is basically just for fan-service. Nurse Witch Komugi-chan R - I liked the first episode because of how it doesn't take itself too serious. Basically a parody on Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura and magical girl anime genre. I saw hate oh this for being to Kawaii and stuff but I rather enjoyed it. Norn9: Norn+Nonet - Not sure what to make of ep 1 was just setting up the premise, reverse herem though? Active Raid - Was ok, I'm not into mech anime but if you like Tigger and Bunny you will probably like it. I was hoping for more of a Psycho-pass feel. |

Semi-list/ review or something 2
Not in any order Hai to Gensou no Grimgar - It seems like it will be interesting. There was a lot of talking during the first episode but it's looking like it will be an ok series and from what I hear it gets a lot darker. Like sword art online crossed with alice in borderland? Schwarzesmarken - I'm not too keen on it, the premise of aliens invading after world war I sounded great but it seems like it will be more focused on human vs human conflict rather than human vs monster. Dimension W - I liked the first episode, good plot, good character design. Hoping this is more "Gangsta" than Gangsta. was. Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm - Typical tropey characters but it seems like it will be a sports anime with a fantasy element? I like it. Saijaku Muhai no Bahamut - Didn't seem like anything special tbh. It seems like every other series about some sort of academy that trains youths to serve as protectors. The protagonist is not considered cool or great, and the protagonist is a male surrounded by girls ie. Asterisk war, Rukudai kishi no Calvary, Blade dance of elementalers, Unlimited Fafnir, Seiken Tsukai no World Break... etc. That being said I always end up watching these anyways... so whatever. I think in pretty much every series I listed the protagonist sees the female love interest nude and engages in battle lol. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! - Basically anything involving fantasy/ rpg elements I think I am going to watch. Moreover, the first episode was pretty funny and played on some of the tropes of this kind of genre. |

Schwarzesmarken is a spin-off from MuvLuv Alternative: Total Eclipse and portrays the German side of the invasion, so you should watch that version first to understand what is going on and what happened to Europe.
