Oh, they weren't elaborate with their posts. My two cents, they are in charge of developing designs when asked by a higher-up or on their free will. They can have similar powers as a GP except they don't look at reports possibly.


Edit: Why they have an account? Same reason a GP does. Another team to help players around and their specialty is GFX (creativity). So if you got a question regards to GFX ask them.  

You have a GFX account so you can log on and get publicity and have all the noobs praise thy admians. Duh  

It's probably like a clock-in type of thing. When they're doing admin type of work they use their admin account. It says on the gp application that you need to put in at least 10 hours a week, so it's most likely to keep track of how much work they're putting in for their admin duties. You wouldn't show up professionally to work without wearing the "uniform". It's kind of like that. My guess anyways.

For GFX, u honestly don't even need server access. All your doing is making graphics on a different program. Only possible reason to have access would be to upload graphics to RC or maybe to help out the GP's if they aren't online

Works differently on every server I've worked for.  

It's useful to be able to log on client depending on what you're working on. I mean teeechnically, regular graphics staff don't need to have server access, but there's also nothing bad about them having it. In fact, for some things it just simplifies things if they can log on. Graphics staff can also do events and uploads just as much as GPs, so why not lighten the workload if they have the time?

Like 5-ish years ago, all graphics staff started off as GPs then got "promoted" to graphics. They don't do that anymore though...but when they did, the graphics staff could also do GP work if they had the time and if no one else was available to do so.

Also, it would just suck if you didn't get to have something like that when everyone else that isn't graphics do get to have it. Who would want to apply for graphics knowing that they wouldn't get to have a kewl staff account? Not only all that, but it's just so much easier to get around to places you need to be on client than it is on a device.

What does it matter anyway? As long as they aren't having a power trip and staying in line and doing they're supposed to do, there's no harm in it.

Not to sound rude but what's the point?

upload and delete their graphics on the fly, warpto test levels to see if their **** works online, collaborate with fellow staff ingame or on rc, etc  

To answer your stupid graphics question, or to basically help.
I mostly did it to test out graphics.  

To give hats to friends and to not host events  

Because otherwise some talented people wouldn't bother with being staff?

No, that is the job of a GP.

A main Graphics staff have access to the client is to upload images to the server.

but gfx staff does a better job at being a gp than a gp
