They deserve all the hate, you cant trademark "Reaction videos" or even something more specialized like "Kid reaction or senior reaction" videos, these have existed for years before them.

You are not the person who dictates what someone else can and cannot do.

here's a link from reddit. apparently they registered the word REACT as their trademark.

they take revenue from react videos u make and in return u get 'tips' bs. or they are gonna sue u. it's just worded differently.

There's nothing wrong with letting people have the choice of whether or not they want fine brothers to help them make react videos for a cut of the profit. It just crosses a line when they're forcing it on everyone.

It's like the google heart hand patent all over again (cept worse)  

Can't believe they lost 1 million subscribers.  

Imagine someone trademarking gaming videos.

I used to really like them, but I think they really made the wrong decision here

Not all. Youtube videos that are made for youtube, i.e let's plays or whatever are not copyrighted. To copyright each and every video you do, you'd have to trademark your name and/or put it as a logo in every video, or copyright all your videos seperately, i believe. Trailers do not always have copyright with them, neither does all music. Only some react videos could be copyrighted. Although, i am probably wrong, read government copyright uses and usages for full details on copywriting.
