The main problem is for social guilds. Because people cant be in over 5 guilds they cant join new ones. But the only reason they would need to is because theirs goes inactive. It goes inactive because others leave for new ones because they can have so many tags. Now maybe social guilds will stick together and stop dying out so easily. As for towering, i have seen people doing 3 tower guilds at once. That isnt very loyal. And also do you really expect the hat from all 3 if youre splitting time between them? You shouldnt, it looks very uncommitted when you do that. All this update will do to towering is make it harder for people who are only greedy for an easy hat to get them easily. They will have to committ to staying with a certain group. Hopefully towering will return to the old days, where guilds were more like families. |

love it, some suggestions to limit people hopping on noob accounts just to tower: - require 24 hours to join a guild. - when someone leaves or is kicked from a guild, add a 1-day timer before they can rejoin it. these two things combined = R.I.P. your noob account jumping. |

I'm sure they're eventually going to impose the point-related penalties for kicking members or having members leave, which in itself should stop the entire act of temporary guilds and temporary members I like it that way because people can still have guilds that are specific for something, like if you want to make a GS guild or a PK guild that recruits people temporarily then you still can, it's just that your guild will never benefit from it through points so you'll have to be doing it just for fun and you'll never really be rewarded (which is probably going to discourage 90% from doing it) For example, if you have a guild that functions naturally as a spar guild and your intention is to spar actively and win GSTs, a point penalty is going to completely discourage you from recruiting temporary members to increase your GS score because kicking them will penalize you for more points than it's even worth If you have a tag that's just a throwaway GS tag that you want to GS on, you don't really care about the points associated to that guild so you can still do it Then when/if things like tower and GST rewards are transitioned over and redeemable through points, everyone is going to want to get points so it basically fixes the problem without actually forcing people to do it |
