tbh both are valid, some trainers use them as slaves to work in constructions but pokemons seem to be fine with it, and other trainers use them to battle for money, fame, control. I think depending on the trainer the pokemon adapts

Pokémon seem to take on the values and ideals of their trainers. I'm not sure if it's the pokéball technology that changes them or if pokémon are naturally blank slates that need trainers to fill them with ambition. Natural or unnatural; I'd argue they're still friends. It's probably better than messing about in the wilderness anyway. I've seen like 1% of pokémon so let me know if any of the other 99% contradicts this. |

i think pokemon are too ******ed to be either slaves or friends the only exception is mewtwo but a bunch of crying got him to stop whatever it was he was doing, so he's philosophical but still pretty ******ed |
