So here's a story!

I had an interview last Wednesday for a job I am really hoping to get. It came to talking about my hobbies and interests and I have Pixel Art on my CV. (I know, I know, a bit cringe) but I thought **** it its 2016 people literally can do anything for their hobbies. So I talked about the skills involved working for a server, communicating with people online and meeting deadlines, as well as it being all voluntarily and idk, I think it worked in my favour.

Thinking about it now just makes me cringe a bit because I never thought I would talk about that in an interview and always assumed it to be a 'secret hobby' of mine, but oh well.

So yeah, I remember a thread before on this similar topic, and I just thought id write this to idk, make you laugh or give you an interesting read outside of the ****posting that fills this forum.  

How did they react when you initially brought it up?

Tbh a bit bewildered then smiled about it and were like 'okay, cool'. I think I was lucky the interviewer seemed to like me because if that wasn't the case they probably would have thought it was.. strange maybe?

I didn't namedrop Graal or anything just spun this whole thing in my favour, but the more I think about it the more I kinda cringe lol  

Should have supplied them with a link to Graalians and your graphics thread & gone all out with showing them your hobby.  

Don't forget to show him your spar ratio.  

And your kills  

Don't forget the hours!

Pixel art is actually a respected profession now, so I'd think you made a fairly intelligent impression.

Yea, that sounds like a great idea. When I apply for a job, this is just the kind of community that I want my potential employers to know I associate myself with.

When I apply for a job, under previous occupations/experience, I put Zone Patrol Captain for Graalonline Zone.
