Edit: A color indicator, maybe orange. To show which players live in same country. Can be used to socialize more.

Mostly helps new international players make friends easier. They don't have to click on a profile to know that someone who just walked past them, speaks the same language.

Mostly for international players to socialize easier. Don't care if added or not, but it would save me 5 seconds every start of spar.

Players can walk around and possibly meet others with the same flag, without having to click on their profile. You can see all flags, and if you find someone with a similar flag, or maybe you know their language, would be nice to socialize with them.

It would be a lot easier to walk around and meet people, if I were to live in (ex) Brazil. I wouldn't have to click on their profile.


Sparring pov:
I wouldn't have to click a player's profile to see if they delay or not.
(lazy, but it gives me headaches sometimes queue, profile, back, spar, repeat)

I'd mostly use it for spar, but I'm sure it would be a very nice feature from a social point of view. Personally, it would be nice to see other players who live in my place of birth. I speak spanish, so it would just be nice to know if a player is hispanic without having to check their profile.

If added, please add the option to turn flag indicators on/off.

 

Neat ideas and all , but you have to get people total point of views across , however your poll options do not have a " no I wouldn't like to see this implemented ".

Why do people say this? There is always the option to toggle it on/off...
It's really just based on if you would use it or not.

Edit: Not sure if lots of different flag indicators would cause lag, so maybe just an indicator for same country would be fine. Could just be a colored indicator too, since it would basically mean the same thing.  

Its a good idea but then theres the problem with the cache, wont this make more lag than we already have adding on indicators to indicate every flag?

That's why I changed it, and I made the edit in 2nd post "Indicator for same flag", instead of showing all flags.

Imsee, that decreases the amount of lag it might create but it still creates a good amount does it not? Having an idicator over every american would be pretty crazy seeing how theres a large abundant of americans that play the game aswell as french, arabian, pinoy, puerto rican and maybe others I dont know, remember theres more than 4k players that are normally online.  

Can't you just ask when someone is from?  

This seems pretty pointless. First of all, it shouldn't be taking you 5 seconds to open a profile. Secondly, would this only be in spar or everywhere? You already have guild indicators. If you want to know if someone speaks Spanish, just start talking in Spanish and people who speak it will respond in Spanish. A flag indicator seems pretty pointless, even in spar.

Plus this is like the 3rd thread I've seen from you that doesn't have a 'No' option in the poll. You can't just ****ing say that people who want to say no wouldn't use it, but also wouldn't mind if it existed. You need to make an actual 'No' option, otherwise no one can take your polls or threads seriously. I don't need to use something to think it might be a good idea for Classic, so stop ruining your own threads by jacking up the polls.  

Little things like this would be neat if the server could actually handle them

Agreed , but you'd also be surprised by how many times indicators mess up upon entering a spar/gs

Im well aware of that but this is about flag indicators, like seeing the flag of someone above their head.  

Not sure how you could represent all the flags without actually showing the flag as an indicator. You would need a lot of colors, or you would need to leave out many of the countries we have available, and then also memorize which color represents which country. It seems pretty pointless still, and unnecessarily difficult to incorporate.  

Like I said. Could just be same flag indicator color.

If I live in Venezuela, I'd only see an orange (example) indicator. So anytime I walk around and see an orange indicator, I will know that the person lives in the same country. I didn't walk right past them, without knowing, and without having to click a profile to check.

Just makes meeting people easier. Not really for me. I'd only use this to know, who doesn't live in the US, without having to click profiles, but this can be easily used for socializing with others.
